Last week I wrote I was fighting against insects. Thanks to

For the first step I made nettle water. As I hesitated to pick some nettle and cook in a pot we use for food, I bought tea from store ... ja I'm a elementary organic gardener ;)
I read and heard fermented nettle tea smells quite strongly but I don't mind the smell ... so far.
After splaying diluted nettle water over the weekend, the amount of aphids reduced drastically. But still some aphids remain on young leaves of bitter melons.
So as a next step, I added crushed garlic to the nettle water, which is also recommended in the article. 
Now I'm splaying it on bitter melons every morning. I'm looking forward to seeing the result soon :)
By the way, I had a reassuring visitor in an evening. I wish she visits our garden again with her friends and family.

先週虫と戦っていることについて書きました。謎の虫はアブラムシだよと

これによると、セイヨウイラクサが効くらしく、植物にもいいらしい。植物交換会で隣のビオガーデンのお姉さんがセイヨウイラクサで肥料を作るよといっていたのを思い出しました。道端に生えているものをつんできてもよいのですが、上の記事によると乾燥でもOKとのこと。場所によっては犬のフンがころころ転がっているので、チキンな私はビオ屋さんでお茶を買ってきました（ビオガーデニング初心者 www）。
ただイラクサ茶、匂いがすごいと聞いたり読んだりしていたので覚悟して作りましたが、今の所大丈夫。今の所。
暑さのせいでアブラムシがやられたのか、イラクサ茶が効いたのか定かではないのですが、週末をかけてスプレーをしたところずいぶんアブラムシが減りました。
ただ、まだゴーヤの若い葉にぽちぽちといて、次なる一手としてにんにくを入れてみました。今回は沸かさず、濾すのが面倒だったので全部ティーバッグに入れて放置することにしました。唐辛子も入れてみたかったのですが子どもがいるのでこれは最終手段。
毎朝むんむんにんにくの匂いをさせながらスプレーしています。来週は結果報告ができるかな、楽しみです。
