I have less cold hands and feet as I increased the amount of my daily yoga and muscle training last year. Although it's away better than before, still I feel cold during German cold winter.
It must be also better for the environment to warm up my body from inside than to turn up the heating. And yes, it seems the energy price goes up crazily this year ... 😱
I heard on a radio program that ginger produces Gingerol and Shogaol when it heated and dried, so I've been making dried ginger in winter.
It's easy. Peel and slice ginger (or maybe just wash it well if it's organic?) and heat the slices in oven at 100 degrees for about an hour. You can use the heat after baking bread to make it more energy efficient.
When the slices dried well, they become very small.
Once they cool down, put them in a jar. You can add them to tea or hot lemonade to warm you up.
My partner has been saying it's cold a lot this year, so I'll try to get him to drink some tea or lemonade with dried ginger 😉
