In my previous blog post I shared some intimate moments of a beautiful wedding day, entering on the bride, groom and gorgeous little details that made the day unforgettable. Today I wanted to share a different side of the celebration, some of the venues charm and the scrumptious treats of the day.
Nestled amidst serene landscapes, the venue offers a picturesque backdrop for a joyous occasion. The venue is rustic and features lots of wooden aspects and florals, greenery and small hideaways for perfect photo backgrounds. Around every corner of the venue is a whisper of romance and natural beauty. One of my favourite spots was this swing adorned with florals, a perfect spot for dreamy portraits.
They say that the way to a persons heart is through their stomach, and this wedding knew how to delight. A centrepiece of the day was certainly the dessert table, a small white cake perched atop a pyramid of glazed donuts, adorned with delicate pink roses and baby's breath. Topped with a sparkly "Mr&Mrs" topper, this tower was a visual feast.
The donuts did not disappoint either!

Beyond the cake there was a wedding feast of culinary artistry. A large harvest table beckoned guests with an array of fresh fruits, artisanal breads, crackers and a tantalising selection of cheeses, along with butters and jams and for a touch of local flavour, we cannot have a South African wedding without biltong!
The table spread was like a work of art, a true beauty. There was such an incredible selection of tasty goodies ensuring that there would certainly be something to satisfy any and every craving.
Adding a poetic touch to the day was a scripture decal at the beginning of the aisle, quoting Song of Solomon 3:4
"I Have found the one whom my soul loves"
As a lifestyle photographer I love capturing every detail of a special day, not only the feelings of love between people involved but also the food that adds flavour to a lovely day.
Until next time keep celebrating love and all the flavours that come with it.
