Counting my Blessings on a Beautiful Weekend!

I hope you are all doing well and happy together with your friends, loved ones, and family!❤.

In connection with the weekly engagement topic of the Weekend community, about Wisdom and Advice, there are few words of wisdom and advice that I applied for in my life, but the advice that I first heard from my parents was "Count your blessings". I know so many people have been inspired by this set of words too.

"Counting your blessings"..is advice that I applied in my life. It covers a big part of my principles and virtues.

I always give importance to all the things that happen in my life.

I always chose to see the positive side, or must I say I could extract a positive thing out of a negative one.

I also counted all the negativity, challenges, trials, and problems as a very special kind of blessing.
Aha! Why? Because I see all these things as the highest form of motivation, the biggest source of determination to strive in life.

Sometimes the people who intentionally made our life hard might be considered as a blessing in disguise too, that by finding ways to avoid them or to think of the best strategy to overcome their existence, we discover more options to live our life in better shape and we also learn to fight for our right and our self worth too, to protect our dignity as well. So truly a great blessing to consider right?.hehehe!

I experience this recently at work, because of one or two people well, it was my immediate superior, who has a personal interest in me, who is trying to make everything hard for me because of revenge for being rejected so many times, did everything to make me feel uncomfortable in the office, but I am a fighter too, I could independently decide and fight for my rights if things crossed the limits.

Failures? It doesn't exist in my vocabulary..hehehe Ooopps..don't think that I am a proud human being here. Well, for me failure is proof of unfinished work, a great blessing that teaches us to work hard and give value in everything we do to succeed in life. Maybe I will only accept the word failure on those people like "Juan Tamad" Hehehe. It was a very popular epic kiddie story here in our country about a very lazy man who wanted to eat a guava fruit, and instead of making way to get it all he did was, position himself under the tree, open his mouth, and waited for the fruit to fall directly to his mouth..hehehe hilarious. I don't know if there are still some people here on earth like that hehe.

So everything around us is a blessing that we need to be thankful for, no matter how big or small it is.

Blessings are not just about the material things. It is also the happiness and contentment in life. A loving family and loved ones, true friends, and people around us that truly care for us💚.

A home where the contentment of having a simple life yet a comfortable one with the presence of unity, love, peace, and care is being enjoyed.. is a great blessing too. We are not rich but my family belongs to a more than average status in life, where everything I need is available since the time I was born. But we were raised in a very simple way of living. I graduated as a working student, even though my parents could fully support my expenses. I love simplicity in every way Hehehe see even in my profile picture there is a "simplicity" word in it Hehehe.

Even if we live in extravagance or simple living, it's still a blessing as long as we are happy with it, we should count it.

I feel blessed because of the contentment I feel about doing things that I loved to do, I am surrounded by the people that I love and at the same time, care for me and love me too, like my family. Then I have a happy personality and being happy for what I have in my hands, without complaining if it is enough or not..most of all I feel blessed because I let God live in my heart❤.

And hmmmmm one of the precious blessings that came into my life is Nico, that kid who becomes my inspiration in everything I do!😊💚.

God gave us all the blessings in life we only need to appreciate and give value to it, no matter how simple, small or big it is.

I, therefore, conclude that everything is a blessing, it's just in our mindset if we are only always thinking positive, in whatever comes in our ways, and ignore the negatives, or take them also as a blessing in disguise, in that way we will come to realize that God created us all as a blessed one. Just living another day is a precious blessing that we receive every day. So start to count your blessings now!!!💕

FOR MY WEEKEND ACTIVITIES

I spent half of my time yesterday and the whole night at the hospital with my Mom, after I received an emergency call from my sister in law, I face the scariest situation there, as Mom almost lost her life last night and I felt like I would be the first one who will lose my life during those times, I was so afraid, that I wanted to stop the time. Thank God, she was revived, and I transferred Mom this morning into another hospital next to the city where I reside. So it doesn't need for me to travel for almost 3 hours just to visit Mom, now it will only take an hour to reach there. So another blessing to count..hehe!

So today, after we transferred Mom, My cousin and I did some documentation and went to some places where we needed to get some documents we need and did her purposes too., this photo was taken outside the hospital, at the parking area while waiting for my cousin.

I felt like I was floating, while we were doing the things we need to accomplished, because of sleeplessness, then a lot of emotional disturbances last night.

So many checkpoints that we need to pass, If I am not mistaken around 5 or 6 checkpoints..took a lot of time.

I saw this bougainvillea plant near the parking area and it was cute wasn't it? hehe..so I took a photo as a remembrance..

Walking back home, I saw a vendor of Calamansi, it's a variety of citrus fruit. So I bought 2 kilos Hehehe I will make a juice out of it because I feel so dehydrated.

As I reached home, I slept for few hours then I prepared food for our dinner, I marinade the chicken a bit, then Nico roasted it, while I cooked Shell soup.

Then vegetable salad, I truly need this, my meal is not complete without vegetables hehe..its very simple I only steamed it, and it's enough.

Lastly, our dessert, like what I have said in one of my previous post that whenever I see a violet or purple color, seems like it is edible Hehehe..because it symbolizes sweetness, and every time I see these colors I remember the "Ube Halaya" a sweet delicacy here in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Made from a root crop, purple yam, with milk, and a drop of vanilla.

Always remember, no matter how simple the food is, this becomes more special if prepared with love and care, served with a sweet smile for our loved ones and family!💕.
