In this article you will find:
This is a question that each creative, artist and spectator wonders about, the answer is totally subjective and very personal. In my experience I can say that such separation does not exist 100%, you will always see the artist's personality shine closing a deal, relating to others, when she/he is creating and exhibiting a work of art.
Dalí with his delirious personality was one of the first to consciously market his work. It is said that in business meetings he behaved a little far from the Dalí who painted, but this last one showed with some gesture. It's the same with Frida through her clothing and speech; you can even do the exercise with Van Gogh in his paintings and compare it with the letters to Theo, there are similarities in style within the paintings and letters.
This is the alter ego, the other me, my second person, avatar. This personality is usually the antagonism of your being, the representation of you in another facet than the usual. However, we cannot forget that there will always be a link, the person in common, your dominant individuality that decides, this is clearly in actors in each role or character.
Being part of the creative process of artists allows me to observe in detail and learn to identify those kind of personality like: here is the alter ego, not here, it is fun and sometimes it is not, but it is always rewarding, even pleasant to see how everything fits together in one person, the line of separation is quite subtle, permeable and of course changing, evolutionary.
This time my example is personal, I didn't notice those differences in me until I saw myself extrapolated in my creations and support objects like: the Barbies and their style from the clothes to how I describe each piece.
In my case, when I am exhibiting a work, advising another person or in front of cameras I am more patient, I smile more, the style is to let it flow, I enjoy the present with more relaxation, the alter ego is like a nice diva.
When I'm in the creative, research and production process, the personality is more serious, methodical, structured, always thinking how to cover improvisation scenarios; the present, past and future are usually mixed with anxiety and a nervous smile that rests when the idea or the objective finally comes true. And I also enjoy this very much, don't think it's only harsh at this stage.
In general, for me it is easy to work in a team or alone, the organization is very important, I always settle a work patterns or itineraries and there must be a learning, metaphor, in my style I try to teach something. At a speech level the analogy, concrete ideas prevail, it could be conscious or not. And if we go more to the surface, clothes are light, simple, in various colours, leaning towards minimalism with some maximalist detail.
To do your analysis, answer yourself:
Maybe you find out of context to need to know these, but believe me, in a new project you will know what to promote, educate and process for each phase. It's like seeing the pros and cons for that objective, it helps in the organization and vision of that project, you can use it to define what stands out and not in your sample or process. Even to improve and work on you, always looking for personal balance.
