While getting more acquainted with my new iPad and the free (default) apps, I was watching the crypto market on my computer screen. I had both Binance and Coinbase fired up and just watched what BitCoin, BitCoin Cash, LiteCoin and Etherium were doing.
At some point I started trading an imaginary £10,000 in my head, placing hypothetical orders and getting them filled at those prices.
Intraday, I was able to generate an imaginary £200, which I have to say, isn't too shabby for a day's work sitting around in front of a computer.
This kind of begs the question; with a decent amount of capital, especially if it's capital you're not afraid to lose, is it not incredibly profitable to trade these volatile waves? I didn't even put that much effort into it.
I get that it's comparing apples to oranges - real vs imaginary money, but the opportunity is there is it not? I also understand that not everybody wins in a trade. That £200 I made, some poor imaginary soul lost.
Talking of apples and oranges, I originally started out drawing an apple, but for some reason, it morphed into an orange.
I used the Bamboo Paper app by Wacom.
I know the iPad drawing world is in love with ProCreate at the moment, but I think my favourite app is this one. It's so smooth and doesn't have that many features, so the learning curve isn't very steep. There is a paid version with more features, but I won't be getting that till I've actually mastered using the darn thing in it's simplest form first.
Drawing on glass is completely different. The strokes are way too smooth, so you have to pull back a bit are things quickly glide out of control. The difference is similar to that between roller and ice skating. There is new muscle memory to be formed.
There are screen covers you can get for tablets like the iPad that mimic the feel of paper. They are matte textured thus introduce the required resistance via friction. I've been looking at my options. The best one, which everyone swears by - PaperLike, is way too expensive for what it is however.
Peace and Love ✌🏿
