Greetings fellow hivers. Sometimes you don't really know what will yield more fruits so that you put in more efforts there. We are all humans. We can't really see into the future. We can just make our predictions, but sometimes things don't actually turn out the way we want it. At that point, we say that we have wasted all our efforts on something that wasn't going to work. Most of the times, we end up with hard I known. Even with all my experiences at this age, I still can't predict correctly all the time. The way and manner that I may see it may not be like that.
I can say of myself that I have had countless of times when my efforts was seen as wasted, and there are also other times when I will proudly say that my efforts was not wasted probably because I have achieved what I wanted to achieve. But in all of these I still have my lessons to learn, which have been of great benefits to me and even to others.
A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OF WASTED EFFORTS -
After I got married, I learnt by what I have seen around my sisters that lack of education has reduced most of us to what we were time: We were barely feeding from hand to mount. We had no skill to help us take care of our families. So, I decided that my cousin sister who been living with my mother ever since she was a little girl will come over and stay with me, help me carry my kids while she will be enrolled in school. We came as planned. Got her primary school certificate. Went to secondary school, sat for WAEC. By the time she wrote her WAEC, I was already making plans to get her jamb form so that she can move on with her studies. Little did I know that my lovely sister was already making plans on how to get married. She even started by following man around and I became uncomfortable with that lifestyle. I tried stopping her but it didn't work. She later told me that I am just wasting my time because she is not ready for school. She packed her things and left for the village, not knowing that she already had everything planned out. Before I knew what was happening, ok be guy got her pregnant and she was given to him, even though he was not ready to do the needful. As we talk now, she is with four kids with no education or even a good Skil that she can use to take care of this kids. For me all my efforts of pulling her out from the same struggle that we saw ourselves is a wasted.
THE EFFORT THAT YIELDED GOOD RESULT-
after what happened between my sister and I, I decided to go to school and change my status quo. The effort is not in vain. People that use to call me illiterate, have given me another name. Level don change. Hahaha 馃槀. I'm not regretting putting all the efforts that I have invested in my studies, because the result is evidence.
LESSONS FROM BOTH
Like I said from the beginning of this post, we are humans, we can make mistake. Sometimes, you may just put a little effort and then you will get a very big result. Sometimes too, you can try all your best, but nothing good will come out of it. We learn everyday.
