Hello guys. Is a good thing to be here once again and I believe everyone is happy just like myself. This is week 235 episode 3 which says - hate speech. This is not something that makes me happy. I detest it alot and don't want to be a part of it when I see people engage in it. There are some people that it gives blood. They can just talk you down to prove a point and at the end they will be happy that someone is going down as a result of what have been said.
Hate speech is not a good thing to do at all. For some people who have been looking for opportunities to bring another down, they will not hesitate to say anything bad about someone they don't like.
SHOULD HATE SPEECH BE SUBJECT TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION?
This question makes sense a lot, even though I know that we have that we call freedom of speech. Which is correct. But what some people don't know is that where your freedom stops is where someone else start. You can't just say anything because you have the right to do so. That is why in Nigeria today many people are in trouble because of what they have said. Saying it is not the problem, but facing the consequences is what matters after the speech.
For me I believe that hate speech should be subject to criminal prosecution. Why? So that it will curb the rubbish that people will say about their fellow human being. Man in general needs laws to behave well. If we allow people do anyhow, say anything and bring people down by what they say.
When people face the consequences of their hate speech, they will learn their lessons not to talk anyhow again. Next time when they want to talk, they will select their words carefully.
IF NO ONE IS HURT
Is it possible for people not to get hurt after a hate speech. Someone will definitely get hurt, but we might not know. Sometimes when it becomes obvious is when the second person retaliate and everything begins to come to the public then we will know that someone was hurt at the beginning of it all. Please no hate speech should go unpunished because hate words are very very offensive and it has the ability to kill someone.
I met a lady in the past who told me that she had a fight with her friend and at the process she pushed hwr friend down from a tree and she died immediately. They were all up on a tree trying to plug some fruits. The person telling me the story said had her friend told her something very bad and she got angry and started a fight with her up there in the tree and that was how one girl lost her life because of what sne said to her friend in anger. Looking at what happened in this story, you will agree with me that f there was not any hurting words this fight will not start at the beginning.
