Sometimes you are tempted to go against the law in an impromptu test
Having to write an impromptu test as a student is a normal thing. While some lecturers see it as a way of evaluating their students, some see it as a way of punishing the students that are not present for that particular lecture. But what they don't get is that some student may just don't want to come for lectures for no reasons, some have a very good reason for not coming to the lecture for that day. But for my school ahhh, lecturers no wan hear that wan oh! If you are not there, you are not just there. And some of them also like given an impromptu test just to make money. Do you know how? Let me explain. If you miss that test, you will be told that it is automatic carry over for you. Then the lecturer will now say that but you can come over to his office to give your explanation, maybe he may consider you. We all know that what they are looking for is money. as from #1000 up wards will solve your problem is his office.
**Impromptu Tests **
Have you ever had to take an impromptu test? Whether in school or anywhere else.
Of course yes, there was this hot impromptu test we wrote back then when I was running for my NCE program. That was an educational course and we are always compiled to buy the text book. We went to the lecture hall with the test book. I sat in the front, because we have a large number of students, so, I don't like sitting in the middle or back. If I sit there, I can't understand anything for that lecture. We were all surprised when the lecturer asked us to take a sheet of paper and write our matric number and the name of our department. That was when it became clear to us that we are writing a text. We got ready and the lecturer started reading out the question, but we were not thought what she is asking us to write about. We looked at ourselves and didn't know where to get the answer from. So, I remembered that I have the text book with me. By that time, the lecturer had gone to the back to check those at the back. You know that they always suspect the students that sits at the back because of malpractice. I saw the answer to the question and started writing, my course mates close to me also followed suit. Just the eleven of us from my department got the answer to the question. The lecturer called us and asked what we did to get the answer. That was when we got to know that she just gave the text because of the noise in the lecture hall.
Another one happened to me two months back. Our psycholinguistics lecturer just came in to the lecture hall and asked us to write down in twenty minutes what we understand by - psycholinguistics. For me, I love questions like this. Because the question says what I understand. So, it is my understanding that I am expected to write not the lecturer's understanding. For that one I didn't waste time to write down my understanding.

The first one I shared was not really okay for me, because I had to copy from the text book, but the last one that just happened recently was okay, because I love that course and it was not a problem for me to explain or write down my understanding of the course.
- Was there a lesson to be learned?*
Hahaha 馃槀. Is very funny when you just carry yourself from your house thinking you are going for lectures, only for you to get there and discovered that you are writing a text that you never prepared for. I learnt to always read if possible ahead of my lecturers. So that if there will be any impromptu test , I will not be lost completely. At least I will have something to say.
In summary, every teacher or lecturer is expecting his students to go home and read more. I was once told that teachers open the door for you as a student, you are to walk in by yourself. A teacher can't give you everything. But they can try to show you the way and allow you to continue in the journey.
