Remembering those words that are only used at home, as a product of those jocular moments that usually arise from conversations with children or adults, made me remember my childhood and that of other family members, it is completely true that using those mispronounced words that only the family component knows in front of a visitor leads, first to the visitor to make a curious face or secondly to be told more about the birth or emergence of that mispronounced word, which triggers laughter.
In the case of my childhood, I do not know if because I am the eldest daughter, first granddaughter and I do not know what else, they have never mentioned any mispronounced word on my part, in fact it was always emphasized that since I began to pronounce words I spoke very well, clearly and until recently there was a cassette in which my mother had recorded me speaking and singing and the truth is that I was a girl who from an early age spoke clearly.
Now, in the case of my sister, being a different human being if she said many nonsense, but there are two words related to the sun that remained for family use and whenever we could we played a joke with one of those two words, especially my grandmother who was always a lady who liked to play with the people around her.
This pair of words are "solsazo" and "solasero", so that you can understand what I am talking about I will put them in context, as it usually happens when the sun is inclement at certain times of the day or when walking down a street or place where there is not even a shadow that shelters us from the hot or embracing sun, it is said or used as part of a phrase along with other words including "ese solsazo", well my sister tried to use that phrase and first said "ese solsazo" when we tried to correct her and tell her that's not how it was pronounced, she didn't give us a chance to use the correct word and said "ese solasero" we didn't know which one made us laugh more, but both words came out to play with her.
As for my nephew, he was a very well spoken child, he watched a TV program called "Bananas in pajamas" and between that program and the fact that my mother and I corrected him, he looked like an old man, but from those eloquent conversations that characterized him during his childhood, two words came up, one was "fotuca", that's how he called "cotufas" (a kind of snack), I had a hard time learning to pronounce it, the other was "serviente" instead of serpiente, as you can imagine among the adults those words were used and we laughed when we pronounced them and imitated the way my nephew spoke when he was a child because he talked so much that he ran out of air sometimes.
In the same way, speaking of words I have heard in other places, I remember my first boyfriend, he is of Andean descent, I don't remember exactly from where, but once his mother sent him to buy some zinc sheets to replace some that were somewhere in their house, I didn't understand what she was asking him to bring, because she did not say sheets she said "lánimas", on the other hand, the whole family called the budare "mudare" when I asked my boyfriend why they called it that way, the answer was that the arepas moved, obviously I corrected him explaining him, now if he did it with his mother I never knew.
Remembering all this has allowed me to laugh and remember so many nice moments lived in family and with loved ones, they say that remembering is living and it is true, bringing to our mind those nice moments that we shared and that filled us with joy brings us well-being, so thank you very much @charjaim for this beautiful initiative Habla Doméstica, Anécdotas to which I want to invite
