Headed to Chinatown to meet my ex-colleagues for lunch recently. Went by MRT train and got out of the station.
最近去唐人街和以前的同事们吃午饭。坐地铁出站。
Walked further and turned right.
继续往前走，然后右转。
Saw a new Starbucks there. That place used to be a restaurant.
看到那里开了一家新的星巴克。那地方以前是一家餐厅。
I took a look at the entrance.
我看了看入口。
Then peeped in from outside.
然后从外面往里看了一眼。
Chinatown Complex is just across the road.
牛车水大厦就在马路对面。
I still had time so I walked to outside the Buddha Relic Tooth Temple.
我还有时间，就走到佛牙寺外面。
Then walked along Smith Street. There was some rides for children there.
然后沿着史密斯街走。那里有一些儿童游乐设施。
A new chicken rice store had opened.
一家新开的鸡饭店。
$9.90 for mala xiang guo sounds tempting. Maybe next time.
$9.90的麻辣香锅听起来很诱人。下次再来吧。
Turned around near the end at corner of the temple.
在寺庙拐角处拐了个弯。
There was a Vietnamese restaurant I had thought of trying before.
那里有一家我之前想去尝尝的越南餐馆。
The Visitor Centre had a display about the Chinatown Historic Distric.
游客中心有一个关于牛车水历史街区的展示。
Here is a block of public residential building.
这是附近的一栋组屋。
Time to go in the Chinatown Complex to wait for my friends.
是时候去牛车水大厦等我的朋友了。
Passed some shops near the outside.
路过外面几家商店。
Went upstairs.
上楼。
The queue to Hawker Chan stall was already very long.
在”了凡“摊位的队伍已经很长了。
I found a table next to the fan and sat there and wait for my friends to come.
我在风扇旁边找了个桌子坐下，等朋友们过来。
Then went to buy porridge from the porridge stall nearby.
然后去附近的粥摊买粥。
They have different porridge and I got a pork porridge with egg for $5.50.
他们家的粥种类繁多，我点了一份猪肉粥加一粒蛋，花了$5.50。
Here is a little story about them.
这里这摊位的一个小故事。
Just a simple porridge but I was happy enough with the lunch with my friends.
虽然只是一碗简单的粥，但和朋友们一起吃的午餐我已经很满足了。
