Mass action thousands (members of jam'iyah) EXACTLY (Unity of Islam, red) in Bandung yesterday (24/2/2018) called for resistance to terror on the scholars. This is probably the first "mass movement" of Persis which is massual because Persis has been a da'wah organization whose focus is on guiding the aqidah and shari'a of its members with its motto "back to Qur'an Sunnah." Observers categorize it as an Islamic purification movement.
In human resources, Persis seems to experience a shift that was once directed by ustadz fiqh experts, now many young people and college people who seem more enlightened, more politically literate.
The orientation began to change although not massively and organisasional. Exactly can no longer maintain its old identity. The demands of the times forced him to adjust to the changes and challenges of the times especially the response and reaction to actual political issues.
Mass action pilgrims in Bandung yesterday it clearly shows stretching Persis is being changed.
Will Persis leave the old orientation of ngur'an-nyunnah? Certainly not. That's his dakwah area. The action indicates that the national political situation that is increasingly hostile towards Islam, diantarannya phenomenon of the past terror and sadism on the scholars, forcing them, Persis and Muslims, who had been sleeping or "apolitical" to show off that they exist, alert and not silent.
The role and contribution of Muslims is always evident in this country. But who does not like to always hate him even from the internal circle of his own people. The hallmark of this religion is its ever-big and powerful challenge that suits the greatness of Islam itself. It's okay, the more challenges it will be to increase and strengthen.
