Golf and Hive

Two of life's wonders and they combined this week, when I spotted these mushrooms growing along some of the fairways. I'm not sure if even @riverflows would chance eating these guys?

But they are definitely cool to look at and as soon as I saw them I thought of @ewkaw and her cool weekly competition that I have not had a crack at in a while, as I simply hadn't seen many mushrroms, except the ones that I eat with my dinner. I had a bit of A dilemma though, how could I get some stealth photos without looking, well, a bit odd to my playing partners. So, I hit my second shot and hung back a bit while the lads were walking towards their balls and crouched down to take a few photos on the sly, so they are a bit rushed, but as good as I could do!

I did this a few times, as there were lots of these impressive mushrooms across the golf course. We are having wet weather here at the moment, but the temperature still has not dropped below 9 or 10 degrees Celsius which is ideal mushroom growing conditions it seems.

This one below was probably one of my favourite finds sitting proudly just off the fifteenth fairway on the back nine.
