As you know, I used to be a landscape gardener. So I had a lot to do with plants. On the journey I found one of the most beautiful flowers for me. The lotus blossom. Beautifully fleshy thick and the flower is very large, almost palm-sized when it opens.
It grows only in areas with a lot of water and standing water. For this reason, many ponds are built here in Asia and the lotus is bred there. Consumption is also gigantic.
At every temple, every ceremony the lotus blossom is present. And anyone who has ever been to Asia knows how many temples there are. An infinite number.
I was also really surprised that the saleswomen never cheated us. Every time we paid the local price. I think that has to do with the holy cities and the karma what else could fall back on them....

Wie ihr wisst, war ich früher Landschafsgärtner. Daher hatte ich viel mit Pflanzen zu tun. Auf der Reise habe ich einer der schönsten Blüten für mich gefunden. Die Lotusblüte. Schön fleischig dick und die Blüte ist sehr groß, ja fast schon handflächig groß, wenn diese sich öffnet.
Sie wächst nur in Gebieten mit viel Wasser, stehendem Wasser. Aus diesem Grund werden hier in Asien viele Teiche angelegt und dort der Lotus gezüchtet. Der Verbrauch ist auch gigantisch.
An jedem Tempel, jeder Zeremonie ist die die Lotusblüte dabei. Und wer schon einmal in Asien war, der weiß wie viel tempel es gibt. Eine unendliche große Anzahl.
Ich war auch wirklich erstaunt, dass uns die Verkäuferinnen nie übers Ohr gezogen haben. Jedes mal haben wir den lokalen Preis gezahlt. Ich denke, dass hat mit der heiligen Städte zu tun und dem Karma was sonst wieder auf sie zurück fallen könnte...
