TimTravels - Thailand.Koh Phangan #Day3

Hello my dear Steemian friends,

I'm back again! There is a lot to tell and show you. The last couple of days were a genuine adventure. I went climbing, diving, had a race and much more. But let me tell you one after another.

As you know from the last post we left Koh Tao and moved to the next island, Koh Phangan. Locals say it's perhaps the most beautiful island of Thailand. I guess they are right.

Koh Phangan is much larger than Kho Tao and we need a proper vehicle to move across the island. So we searched for a good rental and found our bike of desire.

I might drive a car well but when it comes to bikes I'm a total newbie. However, I trained my driving skills. (Yes I wear a helmet. Always wear a helmet!)

After a small talk with the locals we drove into the north of the island. Beautiful beaches and gorgeous landscapes were expected. I wasn't disappointed. Coconut beach is so lovely! Guess where the name comes from?

I had the luck to get this fresh coconut. The most difficult part was to open it without the proper tools. Luckily I got a knife from a restaurant nearby and I could open the coconut to drink its delicious milk!

Okay, are you ready for one of best moments so far? It's hard to describe the feeling I had. It was like magic. You know, that feeling when you see something and you can't express yourself.

We went snorcheling in the bay and swam far outside. After 100 meters we saw something huge. I couldn't believe my eyes. A giant turtle! The turtle was around 1 m large and had to swim up sometimes to breathe. I never saw such a huge turtle in my life before. We spent some time with the turtle before we left. We will miss you my friend!

A great experience! And by the way, we saw another huge bad boy at the beach. I will just leave it here. Maybe you will find an answer on your own why this pig is chilling at coconut beach.

After the dive we went to our basement which is a cosy bungalow. It has an air conditioning which you really need. The nights are extremely hot.

From our basement you can reach the top of the island by foot. A thought way which will reward you with this view.

What would you do after a long boat trip, walking for hours and then swim? Starve. That's what we did at least. We had such a hole in the stomach that it was time to eat. We heard that there is a market with street kitchens. We decided to give it a try. Best decision!

And here comes the best: a delicious crepe with Nutella! I love Nutella.

If you haven't been to Thailand you probably should. There is much to see and definitely worth a trip. Tomorrow I will go to the mountains for some waterfalls. We plan to visit the maritime national park with its underwater caves. Hope my GoPro will make it so I can show you pictures from the underwater world there.

Thanks for reading and hope to see you on my next episode. Any suggestions what I should do next? Maybe write a big steemit sign at the beach? :)

Yours,
Tim
