🇹🇭 🇹🇭 Bangkok – A Good Place For An Entrepreneur?

Thailand’s capital is home to more than 10 million people, gleaming high-rise apartment blocks, traditional neighborhoods, modern shopping malls, and "bad" traffic.

As a travelling location-independent entrepreneur (sometimes called "digital nomad") is it a good base? How does it stack up against other noted digi nomad hubs such as Chiang Mai, Saigon, or Bali?

When in Bangkok, I make the use of the fact you don’t work nine-to-five and avoid the roads during rush hour. That aside, Bangkok has fantastic and cheap transport: buses and trains, as well as car and motorbike taxis, Uber, Grab, and tuk-tuks (which I usually don't use but they are useful for shooting video).

I live in condos fairly centrally near Thong Lo and Ekkamai along the BTS sky-train stations. On Nut is also popular. Here you can find good accommodations from $400+ per month.

Although it is more expensive than the rest of the country, Bangkok provides a thriving community of location-independent entrepreneurs, as well as a robust local business community.

Bangkok boasts all the amenities and nightlife of a modern metropolis with nearly the same friendliness of elsewhere in the Land of Smiles.
