Vienna in a hot summer day

It's the first time I visit Vienna in the summer and I'm thrilled. I never expected it to be so-o-o nice! I've come here only in the winter and by now I always associated the city with Christmas. The city is truly amazing in its summer clothes and it's actually really good to see it when the weather is sunny and everything is green.
I spent my day visiting the Schonbrunn gardens and the Zoo and I really liked it. Perfect sunny weather -29 degrees Celsius and just the right amount of wind to give the coolness you need.

Well summer is the best time to visit the gardens of the palace- perfectly maintained flowers, lush greenery fill your eyes from everywhere. The smell of the numerous colorful roses is hard to miss, and the beauty of the water fountains is something worth the visit.

A good idea is to visit earlier in the morning, before the temperatures are not too high and it's not too crowded.

Entering the Zoo will cost you 20 euros and be prepared to spend half the day inside. It is the oldest Zoo in the world since 1752 and you can see lots of animals, saved from different parts of the world. The two rhinos, giraffes, two polar white bears, they also are proud to give home to panda twins and their mother..

And let's not forget the beautiful elephants...

The park has several little bistros and places where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or a drink or simply have a delicious lunch while enjoying the garden view. If you prefer to bring your own food- feel free, there are areas where you can sit and have a rest while watching the elephants take a mud bath :)

After you've finished with the zoo, you can take the metro and go downtown.

Besides the famous Stephansdom platz in the central area of the city, you can have a nice walk in Maria Hilfer street .
It is located in the 7th district with lots of bars, shops and restaurants. It's like the Berlin's Mitte, Paris' Les Marais, London's Shoreditch.

One of my personal favorites to visit when in Vienna is a place called Le Burger! Trust me, their burgers taste heavenly! !
And my discovery today is a place called La Romana. It is THE Best place to eat ice cream in town.

The ice cream is to die for- hand made, by traditional recipe, since 1947. Once you've tasted it, you'll always come back!

They also have vegan options for those who avoid eating lactose.

As I am a huge fan of good coffee- this is the place to have one too.

That's all from today's feed. Hope you enjoy it and see you around! :)
