A MINUTE JOURNEY AROUND THE POOREST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD

They call it Malawi, I call it home

Forgive me for the poor formatting, still getting the hang of it.

Malawi, a country with a population of 17million residents is regarded as the poorest country in the world. According to available statistics, more than 50 percent of the population live below the poverty line (Less than $2 a day).

Malawi had a per capita income of 305 USD, that is less than half per capita income of Zimbabwe (890 USD) in 2015 (Estimated by World Bank).

The images portrayed by mainstream media are dominated by the headlines above. Here is a quick review of the other side of the story.
