People who lived in ancient times understand that which fruits are mature is sweet or not. Sour taste is the taste of the raw fruit according to them, with it bitter taste is the taste of poisounous. Babies and children who are not yet stable in nutrition hate most foods that are sour or bitter.
Sour or bitter foods is a metter of preference, but everybody loves deserts. :)
