Memorial.

When I was in Berlin during my "Toby auf Durchzug"-Project (Video post), I of course also visited the Holocaust Memorial. I found this kind of memorial fascinating and exciting at the same time. You lose yourself in the endless corridors. While wandering around you also lose your thoughts as the same time. You just think about the reason why it is is necessary that this monument exists. I guess many people feel the same way at that place.

However, children see this area sometimes more as a place to play. They play catch or hide and seek in the corridors, or jump from one stone to the next one. They radiate pure bliss, without knowing what this memorial exactly means. Sometimes adults find this childlike behaviour disrespectful and inappropriate. However, I also find it somehow charming how carefree these children still are. As if there's nothing evil in their lives yet. Should children still be admonished in places like these, or should we just let them be children? What do you say?
