Along the west coast of Malaysia rests an island called Pulau Ketam. Translated to "Crab Island", it is a small fishing village with no roads. All of their walkways are elevated, decaying platforms, leading to their stilted homes. At first glance, this may not appear to be "Street Photography", but I assure you that this shot was taken from one of their "streets".

The only way on and off the island is via a 30 to 45 minute boat ride. While waiting at the dock to catch our ferry back to the mainland, It was interesting watching children by the dozens getting off their "School buses" and walking home.

It was an interesting island, that can humble you and put things in perspective. Seeing how people can do so well with so little really makes you think. Rich with culture, This island is well worth a visit if you have the chance.
