This challenge I couldn't miss: dragon splinter is my favourite!
One of the reasons is that Daria was my first maxed summoner, and traded my first ever GFL for a maxed Selenia sky. But above all, what I like is versatility! You can play with any splinter AND add a bunch of powerful monsters: win-win combination!
Selenia is probably my most used summoner: +1 to ranged attacks and only 3 mana is an awesome combination. And it was the summoner I used in the battle I'm showing here, together with my favourite dragon support card and one of my favourite reward cards, another dragon!
Rulesets:
- Super sneak: all melee attack monsters have the sneak ability
- Lost magic: no magic monsters can be used
The mana cap of the battle was not that big, so decided to go with low mana monsters with decent health and abilities:
Onyx sentinel - I love Lord Arianthus, but since there was no magic no point in having a magic reflect card, might as well use one with good armor and return fire ability, and this one was perfect.
Scale doctor: probably my favourite support card! Triage and Strengthen come always in handy; but especially for this ruleset, rust to remove opponent's armor, and protect to repair my monster's one, works almost as a second heal
Uraeus: decent attack, but especially with the poison, that would bypass any repair ability.
Truthspeaker: another great support card, low mana, protect, tank heal; and cleanse, more and more important with the new cards with poison.
Naga assassin - one of my favourite rewards with the high speed and backfire, even better with Selenia's boost
Crystal werewolf - good health for only three mana; thorns to damage the sneak attacks, and with increased survivability due to triange and repair ability from Scale doctor.
The opponent had a strong deck as well! And with Chanseus to back it up. A strong card in the back, with a ton of health, and two triage skills to nback it up, from the herbalist and the summoner, that would also repair the armor. I guessed it would be a very balanced battle... and it was!!
Finally poisoned the Shieldbearer, at round two. Fortunately the Onyx was sendind some damage back to the herbalist, so there were two monsters being hit in the back row instead of one.
The werewolf was being kept alive by the scale doctor, while damaging the shielbearer too; and when I finally killed him, only at round 5...
Chanseus brought it back to life! My naga had already been killed, due to the shielbearer's return fire ability. And the battle restarted. My werewolf was nearly killed, but finally the opponent's herablist was killed as well, and at round 8, I got him!
From there, the battle was over! But it was one of the coolest battles I had lately: one simple miss and the battle could take a totally different turn. You can see the whole battle here!
See you on the battlefield! 😉
