Evening everyone…..
So with the heat and humidity, came a crazy storm last night just after eight o’clock. It started off with some crazy thunder, then progressed to hurricane winds and torrential rain.
Around eight twenty last night we lost power. There were sirens blaring most of the night responding to calls. By the time the storm ended around eleven o’clock, I wasn’t going out to try and find out what caused our power outage.
I did however go out this morning, and had quite an adventure. I was detoured all over the place. There are trees down everywhere.
Including a massive one at the far end of my street. It took the power lines down on both sides of the street. The very top of the tree was laying on the front steps of the house across the street.
We are still without power, but there is a crew cutting the tree up now. I have been down there an inquired about the electric company coming to fix the wires.
I was told that a crew was in route and if everything goes well, we should be back up and running by ten o’clock.
