Sometimes it's not enough to become a seiyuu (Voice actor) for anime only. I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but sometimes they make an opening or ending of the anime use their voice actor too. One of the people who's both on seiyuu and singer is Sumire Uesaka (上坂すみれ). Her career is known for her seiyuu activity and she's good in the Russian language too.

Sumire Uesaka's musical career debut started on April 24, 2013, with her Singles, "Nanatsu no Umi Yori Kimi no Umi". Nanatsu no Umi Yori Kimi no Umi becomes an opening song for the anime named "Namiuchigiwa no Muromi san". She's also one of the seiyuu in that anime for Sumida-san (Supporting character - Mermaid with blue hair on the cover).

Her career in the music industry is active until the last one on October 27, 2021, with a second opening song of Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! "Seikatsu Konkyu Dame Dinero". Meanwhile she's still active as Seiyuu for many animes.

After she's gone from the music industry, She returns to fill the opening song in "Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack" with "LOVE CRAZY" on January 2023 and the singles released on February 8, 2023. Her return with that is not to hype somehow.

Then she's making a big one when "Tearmoon Empire", a popular light novel and manga that has sold over 1.4 million copies is airing its first anime adaptation in October. Sumire Uesaka with the help of Oishi Masayoshi (singer and songwriter) is working with a track, " 'Princess' Happy Ending' " as the opening theme of "Tearmoon Empire". On the news, it says that this time "Sumire Uesaka returns with another massive and catchy song that’s destined for success among anime and Japan fans around the world".

Like before, Anime is like hit or miss sometimes when we talk about boosting the musical industry with the opening and ending theme of the anime. It's kinda a challenge for a seiyuu in the musical industry even sometimes they need to sing with their character's voice too. I think it's a great feat for them to do both and have good work with them. It'll mean we'll see many new musicians with background of Voice Actor/Actress on stage. If I get that opportunity, I don't know if I'll take it or not. I don't think music is my talent 😂. I ever asked to join a band before as bassist at school but I declined as I thought It was better for someone to do it instead of me.
