Their feathers were so fragile and so light, that the hummingbird could approach the most delicate flowers without moving a single petal, their feathers shone in the sun like raindrops and reflected all the colors.
Then the men tried to catch that beautiful bird to decorate themselves with their feathers. The Gods seeing it, got angry and said: 'if someone dares to catch some hummingbird, he will be punished'. That's why no one has ever seen a hummingbird in a cage, nor in the hand of a man.
The Gods also assigned him a job: the hummingbird would have to carry the thoughts of men back and forth. In this way, says the legend, if you see a hummingbird is that someone sends you good wishes and love.
