A couple of days I got to know about the Coldplay concert being organized in my city Mumbai back home in the month of January. Since I am going to be in Mumbai during that time I decided to go for this concert. I have still been thinking about this and then yesterday I see that the concert is completely full. I was quite amazed with this kind of a response for a concert.
The official ticket prices start from 2000 Rs. and going up to 35000 Rs for the lounge area. Within hours of the bookings opening up, it was all sold out, I do not think it was even hours. And after that people were assigned waiting list numbers which were going up to 100K. Today morning I happen to read that some of these booking platforms are selling the tickets for 300K+. It's crazy, in this much money I can fly to another country and watch his show. It would be foolish of anyone to buy at this price.
I am sure there is a play around on this, all this booking platforms must have blocked bulk tickets and now they would do black-marketing of it. All over insta today I am only seeing frustrated people messages as to how can 50k + tickets get sold out just in some minutes of the bookings opening up. There are going to be 2 concerts and it's going to be a crazy scene. I also read that in November few more tickets will be made available, but who knows, it can be a similar situation.
Anyways, I do enjoy music and watching these concerts but I am not this mad to spend this type of crazy money over one concert and moreover with this kind of hysteria it's scary to even think what the arena is going to be like.
