Spicy Shrimp Paste Dip with vegetables

Staying near to the Malaysia/Thailand border has endless advantages! Besides enjoying a rich culture that have strong influences from both countries and a border pass which enable us to-and-fro Mal/Thai freely, the kedah-ian have the privilege to savor all the delicious Thai food from the real Thais in homeland ๐Ÿ˜‹ One of my favourite Thai dish is salad with spicy shrimp paste dip.

The main character is the SUPER ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ spicy paste dip which comprises of shrimp paste, small thai chillies, garlic, lime juice and palm sugar all pounded well. Usually there are added whole pea eggplant and whole thai chillies for a ๐Ÿ”ฅspiking crunchy sensation (I challenge you to bite them! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ) Anything goes well with this paste - all kinds of eggplant, cucumber, wingbeans, ivy gourd, young ginger, buah petai or other greens.
