OIL PULLING

This is an ancient form of dental hygiene used to clean and detoxify teeth and gums. Additionally, it's also an excellent and inexpensive teeth whitening alternative ! (Say goodbye to the costly ways of professional teeth whitening). Overtime, oil pulling can help improve or resolve many chronic conditions such as gum disease or cavities. ( There are also many other benefits not listed here! Such as it's ability to pull toxins and bad bacteria out of the body)

If you're interested in leveling up your oral hygiene habits, it's likely you already have all you need and could start right now!
Personally, when I started this, I was able to see results within a week! My teeth were visibly whiter and the feeling of swishing away all the plaque and bacterial is so satisfying to me now!

Before you start, be aware:

  • From my research, many people do not react well with swishing oil in their mouth for such a long period of time so I suggest you start with a small amount or just test it to see how you react to it.
  • It's crucial to remember to never spit in your sink as the oil can clog your pipes!

How?
-Use an organic and pure oil of your choice ( Can be sesame oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, olive oil..etc)
-Swish around mouth for 20 minutes (your jaw may get tired at first)
-Spit out into trash or toilet
-Brush teeth

The best time way to add some detoxification to your regimen! Best time for oil pulling is in the morning (according to Ayureveda) but there are people who do it at night.

Some side effects can include: dryness in mouth, jaw stiffness, increased thirst...etc
I have personally yet to experience any side effects but I am being observant for any that may occur in the future.
