종업원에게 물었다. '여기에서 인기 많은 메뉴가 어떤 거죠?' 메뉴의 3번째를 가리키며 "아부리 챠슈 멘(구운 돼지고기 라면) 이 인기가 많습니다."라고 답했고, 나는 망설임 없이 그것을 주문했다.
면은 얇은 것과 우동처럼 두꺼운 것 2가지 중에 선택할 수 있다. 나는 얇은 면을 택했다.
I asked waitress. 'What is most popular here?' She pointed the 3rd on the menu "Aburi chashu men(grilled pork noodle) is most popular" I without hesitation ordered it.
There are thin and thick(like udon) two types of noodle you can choose. I chose thin.
드디어 나왔다. 라면의 자태가 너무나 먹음직스럽다. 살짝 구수한 향이 식욕을 자극한다.
Finally, it came. The noodle looks so delicious. The deeper smell makes me more hungry.
먼저 국물을 한 숟가락 떠서 맛본다. 아! 그리운 맛..마치 할머니가 끓여주신 숭늉처럼 걸쭉해서 눈가에 눈물이 고일 것만 같다. 하지만 허기진 배가 그리움을 이내 지워버리고 만다.
다시 한 숟가락 마시면서 맛을 음미한다. 국물은 짭조름 하면서 구수한 맛이 감돈다. 한국 맛으로 비유하자면 된장 맛..? 살짝 비슷하다. 끝 맛이 아주 약간 쌉쌀하다.
First of all I taste the soup. Ah! It makes me remember my grandmother`s scorched rice soup which is thick and almost cry, but the hunger makes me forget it.
I taste the soup again. The taste is a little salty and deeper. It is like a Korean soybean paste..? little similar. The end taste is a little bitter.
면은 덜 익지도 더 익지도 않았고 그저 평범했다.
The noodle was normal not overcooked, not under cooked.
차슈는 구운 차슈라 보기부터 일반 차슈와 다르다. 식욕을 자극하는 비주얼이다. 한 입 베어 문다. 오우! 달짝지근하면서 짭짤하다 그리고 끝 맛이 쌉쌀하다. 국물의 끝 맛은 이 차슈 때문인가?
맛이 데리야키 소스와 닮아서 쉐프에게 물었다. '차슈가 정말 맛있습니다. 혹시 데리야키 소스를 사용하셨나요?' 쉐프는 감사하다며 대답해 주었고 데리야키 소스는 아니라고 했다.
먹어본 적 없는 새로운 맛이라 궁금했지만, 실례가 될 수 있어 더 묻지 않았다.
Grilled chashu looking different. The visual makes more hungry. I bite it. Oh! little sweet and salty. The end taste is bitter. This chashu makes the soup taste?
The taste is similar with the teriyaki sauce. I asked the chef. 'chashu is so delicious. Did you use the teriyaki sauce?' He thanks to me and answer. "It is not teriyaki sauce."
I was curious because I never had eaten kind of this chashu. However, I worried to become rude, so I did not ask anymore.
