Walking around Chicago. It’s 2017, Bitcoin has gained a legitimate standing in the eyes of many investors. Governments are considering adoption of Blockchain technology and alternative cryptocurrency exchanges are flooding with whales. Yet, as I explore the city of Chicago, only a one merchant accepts the digital coin.

Digital Gold, is currently useless in the real world, Chicago specifically. Other regions do have an economy flourishing. We do not.

Typical conversation with employee:

"Do you accept Apple Pay?” - Me 

"Yeah” - Clerk

"Do you accept Bitcoin?” - Me

"Say that again?” - Clerk

"Do you accept Bitcoin?” - Me

“BITCOIN... idk about that” - Clerk
