Astral Entity Is Already My Favorite Summoner

Lore

"From the shadows and the ether comes an eldritch entity known only as the Astral Entity. It is a celestial being that drifts through rifts in reality, searching for new planes and realms" ...

Hello, Splinter Fanatics! All right with you? Hope so! Today we are going to review the Death Splinter's new Legendary Summoner, Astral Entity, which was the penultimate airdrop for Chaos Legion Edition.

In this post, we are going to do a brief analysis of this Summoner and at the end show them in a battle.

image.png

First, let's start by praising the art of this card, it is without a doubt the most beautiful art among the Chaos Legion Summoners. Congrats team @splinterlands!

But Splinterlands lives not only on art, this Summoner's skills are the envy of many of his fellow Summoners of the Chaos Legion. Astral Entity has the ability to remove (-2) armor from all enemy units, in addition to the abilities Dogde and Resurrect.

image.png

image.png

Dogde
Increases the greatest chance of evading melee and ranged attacks by 25%.

image.png

Resurrect
When an ally Monster dies, it is brought back to life with only 1 Health. This ability can only be activated once per battle.

I don't currently own this powerful Summoner, but it's already on my wish list after I rented it and tested it in a few battles. It is an excellent Summoner to counter armor-focused strategies (Life Splinter) or used in the Armored Up Ruleset image.png.

It's not a ability that will be useful in every battle, because there's no way to accurately guess what the opponent will choose, but the other skills are very excellent if combined with units that best optimize them.

For the abilty Resurrect image.png the most indicated units to be in the first position are the ones that have the ability Void Armor image.png, like Djinn Muirat and legionnaire Alvar, because if the main tank is the first to be killed, they come back with (1) health, but with enough armor to hold all types of attacks, including magic attacks.

image.png

The Dogde abilty is an excellent option to combine with units that have the Blind ability image.png and/or Flying image.png, as the chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks is increased by 25% (Dodge) + 25% (Flying) + 15% (Blind) = Up to 65 %.

In short, if Insidiuos Warlock is cast (from level 4), units with the Flying ability will have up to 65% dodge attack melee image.png and ranged attack image.png. And the other units (without Flying) will only have a 40% chance to dodge these attacks.

image.png

Astral Entity have several cards in their Splinter image.png, that match your ability set, in addition to those listed above.

image.png

As we can see, Astral Entity currently has 7,702 regular cards and 371 Gold Foil in circulation. And due to its number of impressions, the regular version is priced at $18.50 and the Gold Foil version is priced at $127.99 at the time of writing this post.

image.png

The price of this card in the regular version is quite affordable for a Legendary Summoner, but if the player doesn't have enough money to buy this powerful card, renting is a great option. In the Silver league, this card can be used at level 2, where rent at this level is costing around 11 DEC/Day, at the time of this post.

Remember that nothing here is a BUY or SELL recommendation!

image.png

On a scale of 0 to 10, I give this Summoner a 9, first for the beautiful art and second for the excellent abilities that combine well with the Splinter of Death units, in addition to removing (-2) from opponent's armor, on many occasions this debuff can decide the outcome of a battle, especially if the team is composed of melee and ranged attack units.

image.png

Nothing better than seeing the newest Summoner, Astral Entity, in action. In some battles that took place in Wild mode in Silver League (Early season).

The first battle the ruleset was conducive to choosing Astral as we have the Armored Up Ruleset image.png, which will make our melee and ranged units more comfortable.

image.png

In this battle, we used debuffs strategies, that is the flagship of Splinter of Death, were removed (-2) from armor granted by the Ruleset Armored Up, in addition to the debuffs for the melee and magical attacks given by our units.

As our attacks were focused on the first enemy position, the one who saved the battle was Lord Arianthus, who returned the magic attacks of several units, thus defeating some of them.

If Globin Psychic was not killed, its cure was making the nearly indestructible Chain Golem impossible to defeat. Fortunately, Globin Psychic was defeated and changed our team's situation thus guaranteeing our victory.

image.png

In the second battle we have the Fog of War Rule Set image.png, but what made me choose the Astral Summoner was precisely the opponent's battle history, which repeatedly chose Earth Splinter with the Obsidian Summoner and the legendary card Queen Mycelia, which grants (+2) armor to all allies.

However, to my surprise our opponent was more offensive and for the amount of mana he chose Splinter de Dagrão with Splinter de Terra. The Summoner chosen was Delwyn Dragonscale and with very powerful units like: Agor Longtail, Runemancer Florre and Oaken Behemoth, all with two types of attacks and pure power.

I confess that for a moment I thought I was going to lose this match, canceling Queen Mycelia's armor was essential to win this battle. Summoner Astral Entity was a decisive factor in our victory.

Today's battles were really insane, Astral Entity proved to be an excellent Summoner, especially when it comes to countering strategies that use armor as a base.

And what did you think of this summoner??

[PT] Astral Entity Já é o Meu Invocador Favorito

image.png

Lore

Felizmente, Globin Psychic foi derrotado e mudou a situação do nosso time garantido assim a nossa vitória.

image.png
