Eight Years on Hive: Reflections from the Sky

Today marks 8 years since I first joined Hive, and this morning I woke up from a dream that seemed to capture where I am right now — both in life and on this platform.

In the dream, I saw myself as a kid again, running through the fields of my childhood, like I was watching an old video taken from above. Then, the dream took a turn, and suddenly I was flying over those same fields, capturing a video of the kids below — watching them play from a new perspective. It felt like pure freedom, like I had taken flight and was soaring high.

But the dream didn't stop there. I saw people trying to fly with kids' three-wheelers, leaping off cliffs, and descending slowly like feathers — always attempting to take off, but never quite making it into the sky. Meanwhile, there I was, doing loops in my light airplane, enjoying the thrill of the flight but still watching from above.

It made me think about my journey here on Hive. Recently, I’ve felt a bit like those early flight attempts — still present, still hovering, but not quite soaring like before. It's been a few months since I last produced anything, apart from the Hive Engine liquidity pairs Python script I posted yesterday.

Maybe it's time to embrace another loop, another chance to find the freedom and perspective that comes with creativity. Thanks to everyone who's been a part of this journey with me — here's to finding new heights, even after moments of hovering.
