Yaeji Unveils Vibrant Visuals for New Track "Easy Breezy"
Electronic music sensation Yaeji has treated fans to a vibrant visual experience with the release of the music video for her latest track, "Easy Breezy." The video features Yaeji alongside her adorable dog Jiji as they navigate the streets of Brooklyn on a scooter, adding a charming and personal touch to the overall presentation.
The song itself draws inspiration from Yaeji's cultural roots, specifically the Japanese and Korean music that played a significant role in shaping her musical journey. The artist expressed her sentiments about "Easy Breezy" in a statement, describing it as a sequel that weaves a thread through her past releases and past selves.
Yaeji's introspective commentary on the track includes reflections on learning to let go, the complexities of true change, and the rapid pace of time. The artist eloquently shares her thoughts on the passage of time and the powerful impact of personal memories.
Sonically, "Easy Breezy" serves as a connection between Yaeji's present self and her middle school years, where she first discovered the genres of bossa nova, drum and bass, and house through Korean and Japanese pop electronica.
The artist's upcoming live performance at the Roundhouse on November 11 as part of Pitchfork Music Festival London adds another layer of anticipation for fans. Yaeji continues to showcase her musical prowess and cultural influences, leaving an indelible mark on the electronic music scene.
