Hi all 😊
With this post I want to show you some of my favourite Bokeh photographs I shot during the last years. (With my Canon eos 550D)
”Title: Green Lizard”
The first photo above is my entry to Qurator's Photo Quest for this week: Bokeh.
This is a very interesting quest #qurator has set out for us.
What is bokeh; it is a blur produced by photographers in the background. The out of focus parts in your photographs. So that the main subject will stand out more.
I like to use bokeh in my photographs, it draws your eyes just to the main subject and blurs out the background. Makes other parts blurry. What gives you also a lot of depth.
This I also like to apply when painting my paintings.
You find some examples in my blog posts.
Here are my other bokeh photographs I selected for you. Enjoy 😎
To continue with the little lizard, I show you another photograph of him. He was very curious what I was doing… I found him hiding in the forest, while I was visiting the Island of Guadeloupe in May 2019.
”Title: I’m watching you…”
I do like to take photographs from birds, animals and plants especially flowers as they make great subjects for creating photographs with bokeh.
The next pair of parrots I photographed also on the Island of Guadeloupe. I liked their colourful feathers.
Here are a few butterflies I photographed in Florida the USA in a butterfly garden.
”Title: The world is spinning”
”Title: Good morning butterfly“
Next I show you some flowers I found during my walks here in Spain.
Found at Passeo del Parque in Málaga center.
”Title: Hibiscus Flowers”
Blossoms in the countryside of Spains Andalusia.
A walnut tree in the Netherlands.
A few more birds, seen from different angles 😉
”Title: I see…”
”Title: Proud”
And the last photograph.
A little chameleon that crossed my path while visiting Cabo de Gato in Spain. We carefully placed it away from the road 😉 so it would not encounter cars.
”Title: Little Chameleon”
Hope you enjoyed my little selection of bokeh photographs. It was rather hard to choose one of them for the contest entry…
Thank you so much for looking, reading and supporting me.🙏
Any questions or comments, let me know. Always happy to help.
Have a great day all 🥰
Grtz Jackie
Unless stated otherwise: All art and photos used in my posts are taken, created and owned by me. If you wish to use any of my photographs, please contact me first. As I have used some commercially myself.
(A lot of my photographs in this post are used commercially for prints and other purposes. So please don’t use them, as this could bring you or others problems… and we don’t want that of course 😉)
