A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
In the square in Montesanto there is the sun but in the sky there are big clouds because an Atlantic perturbation is still manifesting its wet effects on the city.
Greetings to the friends of #poliac for the second day of play-off for the next edition. In the meantime I don’t know what you decide after @fantagira’s reply I’ll post my report anyway. In the meantime you are greeted by the Italian Soccer Champions of Naples.
Arrived on Via Toledo a huge lonely cloud is ready to refresh the not overly warm summer atmosphere of the city. In the meantime, I took refuge in the Italian commercial bank where an exhibition was being held. After a few minutes the road began to dry.
Once in Piazza del Plebiscito the church of San Francesco da Paola was dominated by a sky that was gradually emptying from the clouds.
But for safety and to avoid another unexpected bath I enter the luminous monumental staircase inside the Royal Palace of Naples defined by Montesquieu as the most beautiful in Europe. But in fact this is the result of a remake following a fire.
The marbles of which the entrance to the royal halls is composed are produced by various quarries scattered throughout southern Italy and are very valuable. The Spanish cohort that rebuilt this entrance was very rich and spared no expense.
Really inaccessible is this flight of stairs and almost no one can do them at once and stop with the excuse of taking a picture all. Big guys like me need at least two stops.
The exterior of the Royal Palace was built in piperno which is a gray lava stone and red brick that make a beautiful chromatic combination characteristic of many historic buildings in Naples. It has been rebuilt in several stages, embellishing and modernizing it.
The first room you can visit is the small theater inside the great palace of the king with a time decorated by stucco by Gaetano Genovese.
From the second entrance you can enter the museum of the royal rooms that in size are not second to the other two museums of the city or the National Archaeological Museum of Naples and the museum of Capodimonte in fact are almost thirty rooms rich in ornaments, paintings and furnishings that make the visit as beautiful as exhausting.
The textile manufacturing industry of the Bourbon Kingdom was highly developed and provided an incredible amount of tapestries to the royal family with which it decorated the larger rooms.
The doors of the rooms, expertly decorated in gold, each with its original design, are of exciting beauty.
The ceramics industry was also present everywhere and the palace was full of vases coming from the ceramic factory of Capodimonte located inside the beautiful royal park.
After visiting all the rooms of the structure I went to the garden adjacent to Piazza Trieste and Trento where this beautiful sculpture is present.
After the long stretch in the royal museum of the palace tourists stop in the romantic garden a grove of trees adjacent to the Royal Palace.
The building is built on a small hill in the middle of the Gulf of Naples from which you can observe a vast number of beauties including the Maschio Angioino.
The other side overlooks the port of Naples with Vesuvius greeting from afar. Today she wears a hat of clouds to protect herself from the powerful mid-day sunlight.
Breathtaking and suggestive is also the view of the park of Molosiglio that after this vast expanse of green houses the nautical puppy of the Rowers.
From the Royal Palace there is a passage suspended in the void of rare beauty that is now closed to pedestrian traffic that leads directly to the vicinity of the Maschio Angioino.
Before leaving this enchanting structure, I celebrate my #iamalivechallenge 424, a testimony of the real history of the city of Naples.
On the way home I met the majestic silhouette of the Maschio Angioino who dismissed me since I was expecting to return home after this long morning in Naples.
To get to Piazza Garibaldi today I traveled the entire Via Marina in the stretch that starts from Piazza Municipio and arrives at the central station of the Circumvesuviana and the center, near the pier of the port of Massa, The old and monumental port station of Naples is split in the middle of a construction site.
Made of red bricks and piperno is recognizable in the hands of those who designed the magnificent imprint of the glorious history of the city in the center of the Gulf of Naples.
And here we arrived in Piazza del Carmine that fortunately was sheltered from the shadow of a propitious cloud formation that accompanied me towards the meeting at home sheltering my head from the sun.
Upon returning to my country I was able to take this rare overview of the main course of my neighborhood almost totally devoid of cars given the timetable.
