My Actifit RC: July 13th 23 - Back to a Street of the one Thousand sightseeing - IAAC 402

A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.

Our journey to Naples begins in the evening when the sun’s rays are now harmless to our health in this tremendous heat wave that every year is presenting itself with extreme punctuality and increasing danger.

The means of transport today have catapulted me to the center of Naples well in Piazza Amedeo from which you see a portion of the hill of Posillipo that separates it from that of the Vomero and from which you can observe one of the many Gothic architecture of the genius architect Lamont Young or the Aselmayer castle of 1902.

As always on the square Amedeo dominates the palace in neoclassical architecture Cottrau Ricciardi that takes the name of the two architects who designed it. Between Piazza Amedeo and Via dei Mille there is this mixture of architectural styles between neo-classicism and Art Nouveau of modern conception for the 1900 century.

After entering via dei Mille, after a few meters, we welcome the baroque architecture of the church of Santa Teresa in Chiaia. Built to a design by Cosimo Fanzago in the wonderful and flourishing Renaissance of 1600 it has been rebuilt several times because it is located in a position where it is particularly affected by the destructive seismicity of the Campania region.

From Via dei Mille there are several staircases that lead to the hilly area behind the elegant Neapolitan road that have a height increasing.

At the center of the street opens the Carafa palace of Roccella acquired by the city of Naples and intended as a museum of contemporary arts where many exhibitions are held. It is known as Palazzo delle Arti Napoli or PAN.

Wonderful question and flamboyant elegant palace and the palace Leonetti work in art nouveau style architect Giulio Ulisse Arata.

The palace embraces a wonderful central garden and is home to the Spanish and British consulates.

At the end of Via dei Mille, where Via Filangieri begins, the modern Palazzo Mannajuolo, built in Art Nouveau style, expresses the desire for modernity of the wealthy Neapolitan city of the early twentieth century that, at times, did not achieve exciting results. In fact, not everyone appreciates its dubious beauty.

And this is what the elegant street looked like a century ago.

Back towards the metro station 2 of Piazza Amedeo I took Via Bausan down the staircase that leads to an area where there are some ethnic restaurants.

This alley that takes us to the gates of San Pasquale in Chiaia is full of many restaurants, bars and pubs that were full given the dinner time.

After passing through the town villa of Naples where the first shadows of the evening were casting, I reached the coast of Caracciolo not before capturing this elegant monumental fountain in a fantastic shot.

While a seagull was procuring food for the evening dinner, the hill of Posillipo was enveloped by the lights of the sunset on the calm sea by the mighty African anticyclone.

Below someone had immortalized his colorful love by drawing it on the concrete of the rocks.

On the water front there was a group of ships discussing how and where to hold the upcoming dinner.

Meanwhile the Castel dell'Ovo giant in the center of the Gulf always protagonist of this small corner of paradise that is the Neapolitan promenade.

Crossed the infernal stretch of road that stands between the promenade and the town villa I start towards the road back through the gates adjacent to the Chalet Blu.

Behind these statues in the center of the endless park I am waiting for the bus that will take me to Piazza Garibaldi that I can take thanks to a sudden feline shot grafted by my reflections that are the flagship of what nature has given me.

The last flashes of the day testify to my Arrival in Piazza Garibaldi that mark the conclusion of this my #iamalivechallenge 402 that I want to celebrate with my Greeting #alive Rite.

We are Alive illuminating the first darkness of the night.

Finally, I would like to thank all my friends from the tribe of #Alive and all the new friends who came between the lines of my stories for reading my thoughts and see you at the next report #actifit.
