Saludos comunidad #topfamily, esta es mi primera publicación con ustedes, agradezco la invitación de la amiga @mercmarg a este concurso Observa, piensa y escribe, esta imagen me recuerda un planta de cactus que tuve hace varios años, de hecho hasta la maceta se parece mucho, en una excursión que hicimos a una exposición de cactus y suculentas donde pudimos conocer el cactus melón, nunca había visto esta planta y me gustó mucho, también pude ver los cactus rizados, tienen una gran variedad y son llamativos por la forma de la hojas, sus espinas son muy pequeñas y el grosor de las hojas mide aproximadamente 1/2 centímetro, mis amigos yo queríamos llevar cactus rizados y la señora encargada nos explicó que contrario a los otros cactus ellos requieren menos sol y nos recomendó sembrarlos debajo de otras plantas que pudieran darle sombra, presté atención a todas las recomendaciones que amablemente la señora nos explicó, terminada la exposición nos regalaron una pequeña planta de cactus rizado a cada uno, yo llegué a mi casa muy feliz con mi nueva planta y puse en práctica todas recomendaciones que la señora nos había sugerido.

A los dos meses noté que las hojas estaban más arrugadas de lo común y llevé la planta a un lugar con más sombra, la regaba dos veces por semana y cada día la planta se arrugaba más, pensando que necesitaba los nutrientes y minerales de la tierra la trasplanté a un espacio fresco y sombreado del jardín, aquí la planta empezó a mejorar, y crecieron nuevas hojas de un hermoso color verde, seguía regándola dos veces por semana y creció mucho, se expandió por el jardín y quedó cerca de la flores, yo estaba más que feliz al ver mi planta cada día con más hojas, un día llegó al sector un perro bastante grande y los perros de mi vecino empezaron a perseguirlo, él en desespero por librarse de los otros peros se metió al jardín y rompió varias hojas del cactus, también movió la raíz y la planta poco a poco fue secándose, hice varios intentos por salvarla pero no resultaron, las hojas estaban en su mayoría rotas y la raíz había sido removida, esperé que secara por completo y la saqué al verla una vecina dijo que se había dañado por exceso de agua, se fue pudriendo desde la raíz hasta las hojas, mi experiencia con esta planta me enseñó que cuidarlas requiere mucho más que agua y sol, necesitan tierra y nutrientes adecuados para su crecimiento. After two months I noticed that the leaves were more wrinkled than usual and I took the plant to a place with more shade, I watered it twice a week and every day the plant became more wrinkled, thinking that it needed the nutrients and minerals from the soil I transplanted it to a cool and shaded space in the garden, here the plant began to improve, I kept watering it twice a week and it grew a lot, it expanded in the garden and was near the flowers, I was more than happy to see my plant every day with more leaves, one day a big dog came to the area and my neighbor's dogs started to chase it, He in desperation to get rid of the other dogs got into the garden and broke several leaves of the cactus, he also moved the root and the plant gradually dried up, I made several attempts to save it but to no avail, the leaves were mostly broken and the root had been removed, I waited for it to dry completely and took it out when I saw it a neighbor said it had been damaged by too much water, it was rotting from the root to the leaves, my experience with this plant taught me that taking care of them requires much more than water and sun, they need soil and adequate nutrients for their growth.
