Welcome back to my new handmade blog. What was the highlight of your day, so far? I hope everything will be alright. These days, I make hair clips almost every day. However, due to internet and wifi conditions, I have not been able to post. Today I will share how to make a cute hair clip. Let's get started.
As for the ribbon, I chose a ribbon with small creases on both ends. As for the color, I chose candy pink and the ribbon even has bling bling. I think the color of this ribbon is more beautiful under the sun. The flesh of this ribbon is also very soft. That's why I named this ribbon hair clip as cotton candy bow. I will tell you about the materials I used.
Materials-
- ribbon
- barrette hair clip
- scissors
- ruler
- glue gun
- needle and thread
Step-1
In the first step I used a ribbon, ruler and scissors. I measured and cut the ribbon to 16, 14, 12, 10 inches. I cut 16 and 12 inches into 2 pieces each.
Step-2
In step-2, I used a lighter and slightly touched the edges of the ribbon with the fire. I made the ribbons neat, so you can skip this step. To make the middle point appear, I folded the ribbons from the middle and touched them with a little light.
Step-3
In step-3, I used needle and thread. Place the ribbon in its original shape and place both ends of the ribbon on the center point. According to the middle point, I stitched with needle and thread. Then pull the thread and make a knot. Now I have a cute little ribbon.
I made all the ribbons except for the 16 inches ribbons as I did in step-3.
Step-4
I sewed two 12 inches ribbons together as shown in the picture. Then I sewed a 14 inch ribbon under that ribbon and a 10 inch ribbon on top.
Step-5
At the bottom of the ribbon used in step-4, I attached two remaining 16 inches of ribbon as shown in the picture. Now you have a cute ribbon. The ribbon can be used not only on hair clips but also on dress.
Step-6
I attached the ribbon to the clip with a little glue. I also attached a pearl around it.
Now I have a very cute Cotton Candy Bow. I only used the basic method to make this hair clip, so you can easily follow it too. I'm trying to share better handmade ways. Thank you.
