El día doce en Bogotá pasó sin pena ni gloria porque nos concentramos en descansar. Parece mentira que tan solo unos paseos cansen, pero la verdad no tenemos la energía de antaño. Así las cosas, creímos necesario hacer trabajo desde el apartamento que tuviera relacionado a los contactos derivados de nuestra visita y participación en el evento.
Al día siguiente, en la noche había una sorpresa. Resulta que @sofiaquino98, @globalcurrencies, @aurodivys y @rafaelaquino tienen un emprendimiento en la capital colombiana. Ubicado en la zona de Chapinero, una de las más movidas de Bogotá, el local se llama Arepas y Café. Como podrán adivinar se comen arepas exquisitas a la venezolana, con rellenos que van desde la del sencillo queso hasta la espectacular pabellón criollo. Toda una delicia.

The twelfth day in Bogota passed without any glory because we concentrated on resting. It seems unbelievable that just a few walks make us tired, but the truth is that we do not have the energy of yesteryear. So, we thought it was necessary to do some work from the apartment related to the contacts derived from our visit and participation in the event.
The next day, in the evening there was a surprise. It turns out that @sofiaquino98, @globalcurrencies, @aurodivys, and @rafaelaquino have a venture in the Colombian capital. Located in the Chapinero area, one of the busiest in Bogota, the place is called Arepas y Café. As you can guess, they eat exquisite Venezuelan-style arepas, with fillings ranging from simple cheese to the spectacular pabellón criollo. A real delight.
Antes, durante el día, tuvimos una reunión para ultimar los detalles de lo que será la comunidad #Hive Colombia. Allí estuvimos guiando a los hivers que tendrán la responsabilidad de llevar el desafío de hacer crecer el ecosistema en éste país. Compartimos parte de nuestra experiencia como líderes y les hicimos ver el delicado y hermoso trabajo que tienen por delante.
La sorpresa a la que nos referíamos dos párrafos atrás, se debía a que @aurodivys nos había hecho un quesillo (postre típico venezolano) con motivo de nuestros cumpleaños sucedido el 15 de Agosto pasado y que había pasado sin pena, ni gloria porque nadie lo sabía. Además, la hiver @virginianavas1 tuvo el gentil detalle de comprar un pastel para redondear la celebración. Las imágenes muestran la ricura de ambos postres y el momento de celebración al cantar el cumpleaños feliz.

Earlier in the day, we had a meeting to finalize the details of what will be the #Hive Colombia community. There we were guiding the hivers who will have the responsibility to take the challenge of growing the ecosystem in this country. We shared part of our experience as leaders and we made them see the delicate and beautiful work ahead of them.
The surprise to which we referred two paragraphs ago, was because @aurodivys had made us a quesillo (typical Venezuelan dessert) on the occasion of our birthday that happened last August 15 and that had passed without pain or glory because no one knew about it. In addition, the hiver @virginianavas1 was kind enough to buy a cake to round off the celebration. The pictures show the deliciousness of both desserts and the moment of celebration when we sang happy birthday.
Otros hivers presentes en la celebración fueron: @ecoinstant (quien había llegado ese día para la reunión), @helengutier2, @tsunsica y @letecamps. Es el primer cumpleaños que la paso rodeado de Hivers y que no estuve acompañado de mi familia (esposa o hijos). Esto es un ejemplo de como los vínculos dentro de HIVE pueden llegar a ser insospechados. La verdad que el trato recibido de los hivers de Colombia estuvo a la altura de los valores de nuestra cadena. Decir que no nos hacemos familia conforme el tiempo pasa, sería mentir.
No puedo menos que agradecer la hospitalidad y el cariño recibidos por todos. Al igual que en Perú, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Y eso es muy importante para quienes viajamos, porque ya es duro abandonar patria y hogar para trabajar. Me reconforta saber que la alegría y los valores implícitos en la lucha diaria se vean reflejados en el don de gente, profesados por todos y cada uno de estos Hivers. Mi profundo agradecimiento a todos ellos.

Other hivers present at the celebration were: @ecoinstant (who had arrived that day for the meeting), @helengutier2, @tsunsica, and @letecamps. This is the first birthday that I have spent surrounded by Hivers and I was not accompanied by my family (wife or children). This is an example of how the bonds within HIVE can become unsuspected. The truth is that the treatment received from the Hivers of Colombia was at the height of the values of our chain. To say that we do not become family as time goes by would be a lie.
I can only thank everyone for their hospitality and affection. As in Peru, they made us feel at home. And that is very important for those of us who travel because it is hard enough to leave our homeland and home to work. I am comforted to know that the joy and the values implicit in the daily struggle are reflected in the gift of people, professed by each and every one of these Hivers. My deepest thanks to all of them.
Él día domingo la pasamos en el apartamento mirando televisión y lavando ropa, con el fin de llevarla limpia a Venezuela. Preparamos la maleta con la convicción del trabajo bien realizado. No hay mayor satisfacción que esa. Los logros obtenidos en Colombia nos enorgullecen y creemos rendirán frutos a futuro. Ya les tendremos informados respecto a esto.
Abandonamos Bogotá con el sabor dulce en la boca. Hoy más que nunca, estamos convencidos del potencial de HIVE. No en balde, una comunidad propietaria como la nuestra, impulsa el marketing desde el fondo de desarrollo en mercado bajo ¿Quién se puede dar ese lujo en tiempo de vacas flacas? Sólo aquellos que construyen con conciencia de un mañana más próspero, apuntalados por un ecosistema sin par. Puede que no le parezca a usted en éste momento, pero cuando todo explote (y lo hará), jamás podrá decir que no se lo dijeron. Hive on..!

On Sunday we spent the day in the apartment watching TV and washing clothes, to take them clean to Venezuela. We packed our suitcase with the conviction of a job well done. There is no greater satisfaction than that. The achievements in Colombia make us proud and we believe they will bear fruit in the future. We will keep you informed about this.
We leave Bogotá with a sweet taste in our mouths. Today more than ever, we are convinced of HIVE's potential. It is not for nothing that a proprietary community like ours, drives marketing from the bottom of development in a low market. Who can afford this luxury in lean times? Only those who build with an awareness of a more prosperous tomorrow, underpinned by an unparalleled ecosystem.
