We went to Revenga to show @starkerz one of Hive's most far-reaching and impactful social projects. I would say that after the Ghana wells, it is the most ambitious.

Revenga is a project that seeks to support a school for space children, with the income from a bakery, which is being built, thanks to funding from @valueplan. This project is led by @hexagono6 who is also a teacher at that school. They have a donated piece of land next to the school and the relevant repairs have been made.

A few months ago @enmy and I visited the school. We were able to see the progress of the structure and also share with the teachers and some of the students. This bakery will contribute from its profits for the maintenance of the school. We hope that it will be finished soon. It will also serve as a center for the organization of meetups for the hivers of the central zone.

We were also accompanied by @enrique89 and we were able to take a tour of Hacienda Santa Teresa, which I really liked, but that's for another post. Thanks also to @soychalbed for repairing the car that broke down. The shocks broke leaving Caracas and we took the risk to continue on the road. We arrived in La Victoria driving very slowly. We did something like three hours. In less than half an hour, the spare parts had already been bought and changed, to go back with new shock absorbers.

Fuimos a Revenga para mostrarle a @starkerz uno de los proyectos sociales de mayor alcance e impacto de Hive. Yo diría que después de los pozos de Ghana, es el más ambicioso.

Revenga es un proyecto que busca mantener a un colegio de niños espaciales, con los ingresos que de una panadería, que está siendo construida, gracias al financiamiento de @valueplan. Este proyecto lo lidera @hexagono6 quien también es maestra en ese colegio. Tienen un terreno donado al lado del colegio y se han hecho las reparaciones pertinentes.

Ya hace unos meses estuvimos @enmy y yo en ese local y colegio. Pudimos ver el avance de la estructura y además compartir con las maestras y algunos alumnos. Esta panadería aportará de sus ganancias para el mantenimiento del colegio. Esperemos que pronto se finalice. Además podrá servir de centro para la organización de meetups para los hivers de la zona central.

También nos acompañó @enrique89 y pudimos dar un recorrido por la Hacienda Santa Teresa, que me gustó mucho, pero eso es para otra publicación. Gracias también a @soychalbed por haber reparado el auto que se averió. Los amortiguadores se rompieron saliendo de Caracas y nos arriesgamos a seguir el camino. Llegamos a la Victoria manejando muy despacio. Hicimos algo como tres horas. En menos de media hora, ya se habían comprado los repuestos y cambiados, para ir de regreso con nuevos amortiguadores.
