Beer Tasting: Giesinger Mรผnchner Hell and O'Hara's White Haze IPA

Hello, beer tasters! ๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿป

It's 258th #beersaturday and I'm really tired. I've been all day outside, in the orchard and in the field, here's summer, the temperature about 30 degrees Celsius and I work like ... ugh ... an animal ... yes, I am quite tired.
Well, still not enough for beer tasting :) ๐Ÿ˜
I think I'll enjoy it as much as I have in a long time.

gie1

I have two beers again, one classic Bavarian and one Irish. I think both will be top.

Mentioning today's work, I spent the whole morning mowing the grass in the orchard, if you look at the picture below, it's quite a lot of orchard, the orchard is the size of one football ground ...

gie2

After lunch I went to the field, I had to hoe potatoes. Does this look like a potato field to you?

gie3

Not to me either. The problem is that when you go organic and you don't use any fertilizers and poisons, then all your produce is overgrown by weeds and I had to pull the weeds out of the soil by hand.
The horror. I managed one and a half rows, I still have four and a half rows left ...

Forget about these little things of mine, I'm really thirsty, let's go for a beer! ๐Ÿ˜

Giesinger Mรผnchner Hell

gie4

Brewed by Giesinger Brรคu, Mรผnchen, Bavaria, Germany.
Bottle, 0.5l, alcohol 4.8% ABV. Klasiฤen Bavarski Helles, clean, malty German lager with spicy and floral hops, not so sweet.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Our first filtered beer: A genuine Munich Hell brewed with water from our own deep well. By all the rules of the art. Logical.

gie5

The beer is clear yellow in color, the head is average, not too creamy and slowly fades. It smells of fresh malt.
The sip goes down the throat smoothly, there is no bitterness, the malt is more in the foreground, and only later the hop bitterness appears, but it is not very pronounced. It tastes like hay, bread, and biscuits.
All disappear in the aftertaste, only the bitterness remains for a while.

gie6

Fresh and drinkable beer. A very balanced classic Bavarian lager, exactly what you want from it expected. I was happy to finish it.
Unfortunately, it's more rarely available here, small brewery, everything they produce is probably drunk locally :)

gie7

I have made a good start. I hope the next one will be even better ...

O'Hara's White Haze IPA

gie8

Brewed by O'Hara's Brewery, Bagenalstown, Ireland. Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 5% ABV, 25 IBU. It's a Hazy IPA style, with intense fruit flavors and aromas, less bitterness than classic IPAs, and more aromatic.

What do the master brewers say?

White Haze is a fruit-forward, hazy IPA that pours yellowโ€“gold and is explosively aromatic. A soft, smooth mouthfeel is followed by refreshing tropical fruit flavors from the addition of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops.

Very nice, I can't wait to try it. I've tasted quite a few O'Hara's beers and they've all been above average. I hope this one will be too.

gie9

The beer is cloudy orange in colour, the head is solid and creamy. It is fresh and smells of hops. The sip goes smoothly down the throat, immediately the hop bitterness and citrus flavours appear, dominate for a while and disappear in the aftertaste.
All that remains is the bitterness, which lasts for quite some time.

gie10

This is also a fresh and drinkable beer as far as I'm concerned.
The pronounced citrus flavours dominate and then there is just the hop bitterness. Well, I didn't feel those explosive aromas as the master brewers say. Lemon and grapefruit already, but not the other tropical aromas. Well, I won't sweat the small stuff, it's a very fine beer for me.
Less bitter than the classic IPA but still enough.

And what I am listening to as I write this. Something from my yesterday #newtunes post. The last great band from former Yugoslavia.
