Hello everybody! Not only from Trogir we could go to Split, we could also do it from the small village Slatine located on Čiovo Island of Croatia and that's what we did this day, we took a bus from the village Mastrinka (on Čiovo Island too and where our accommodation was located) and just a couple of minutes on the bus and we were already there right in front of the port where we would take the boat that would take us to Split to go to the first meeting of the Hivefest.
Pero como todavía teníamos un par de minutos antes de que el barco llegara, mi esposo y yo decidimos sentarnos en un bar cerca de ahí para tomar una cerveza artesanal croata llamada Familia Bracera que estaba deliciosa, además la chica fue muy amable, no solo porque no tuvo problemas en recibirnos un billete roto, sino que también fue muy amigable, olvidé contarles pero al frente de este bar había un local donde vendían empanadas que creo que eran argentinas, ojalá hubiesen sido de Venezuela porque aunque ya hubiese desayunado seguro me hubiese comido uno jajaja.
But as we still had a couple of minutes before the ship arrived, my husband and I decided to sit in a bar near there to drink a Croatian craft beer called Familia Bracera which was delicious, plus the girl was very nice, not only because she had no problem to receive us a broken ticket, but she was also very friendly, I forgot to tell you but in front of this bar there was a place where they sold empanadas that I think were Argentinian, I wish they had been from Venezuela because even if I had already had breakfast I would have eaten one for sure hahaha.
Olivia estaba muy feliz allí viendo cómo el agua chocaba con las piedras, más tarde le dio sueño y llegó la hora de embarcar (6 euros costó el pasaje por persona) y por supuesto solo pagamos por nosotros dos, viajamos con la línea Bura Line y los hombres que atendían eran muy amables que incluso ayudaban a mi esposo a subir el cochecito de Olivia y no recuerdo pero creo que esta era mi primera experiencia en un barco así de grande y fue genial, las vistas desde allí estaban estupendas y lo mejor es que tenía un baño limpio.
Olivia was very happy there watching the water hit the rocks, later she got sleepy and it was time to board (6 euros cost the ticket per person) and of course we only paid for the two of us, we traveled with Bura Line and the men attending were very nice they even helped my husband to put Olivia's stroller up and I don't remember but I think this was my first experience on a boat this big and it was great, the views from there were great and the best thing is that it had a clean bathroom.
Casi una hora después y llegamos por primera vez a la hermosa Split donde @ninaeatshere nos estaba esperando y fue realmente increíble conocerla, más tarde fuimos a comer y a dar vueltas mientras esperábamos la hora de ir al bar Paradiso para encontrarnos con los demás Hivers para comenzar a celebrar el Hivefest. Me da un poco de nostalgia recordar lo bien que la pasamos allí y sin duda no puedo esperar a cuando pueda ir a otro Hivefest. Espero que les gusten las fotos. Saludos!
Almost an hour later and we arrived for the first time in beautiful Split where @ninaeatshere was waiting for us and it was really amazing to meet her, later we went to eat and walk around while waiting for the time to go to Paradiso bar to meet the other Hivers to start celebrating the Hivefest. It makes me a little nostalgic to remember what a great time we had there and I certainly can't wait for when I can go to another Hivefest. I hope you like the pictures. Greetings!
