Hola, queridos amigos Hivers, espero se encuentren excelente en este Domingo🤗. El día de hoy, vengo a compartirles una gran parte muy especial de mi experiencia en salas de rehabilitación en las que he trabajado realizando mis pasantías, más qué todo en el área de la Fisioterapia💙.
Hello, dear Hivers friends, I hope you are feeling great this Sunday🤗. Today, I come to share with you a very special part of my experience in rehabilitation rooms in which I have worked doing my internships, especially in the area of Physical Therapy💙.
Como se los he compartido por acá, desde hace 3 años aproximadamente estoy estudiando Fisioterapia, en los próximos meses me estaré graduando de TSU en esa carrera, con el favor de Dios🙌🏼. Y por esa razón, he decidido dedicar el post de hoy a esta significativa pasión que próximamente será mi profesión que ejerceré💙. La fisioterapia para mí se ha convertido en una carrera sumamente especial ya que en muchas ocasiones he ayudado a bastantes personas a recuperar su funcionalidad y cambiar su manera de ver la vida mediante su proceso de rehabilitación. En este camino me he topado con personas y profesionales increíbles que han contribuido durante toda mi formación para ser una profesional y colaborar para mejorar la vida de muchas personas que lo necesiten.
As I have shared with you here, I have been studying Physiotherapy for about 3 years, in the coming months I will be graduating from TSU in that career, with the favor of Dios🙌🏼. And for that reason, I have decided to dedicate today's post to this significant passion that will soon be my profession that I will exercise💙. Physiotherapy for me has become an extremely special career since on many occasions I have helped quite a few people to regain their functionality and change their way of looking at life through their rehabilitation process. In this path I have come across incredible people and professionals who have contributed throughout my training to be a professional and collaborate to improve the lives of many people in need.
Mi primera rotación de pasantías fue la pediátrica, las realicé en la Sala de Rehabilitación Integral de la villa Cristóbal Colón en la ciudad de Cumaná, el centro que para toda la vida lo voy a considerar mi primer hogar💙. Debo admitir que estaba extremamente nerviosa ya que sería mi primera vez atendiendo pacientes con un sin fin de patologías y tendría que poner en práctica todo lo que había aprendido hasta ahora. Por suerte y gracias a Dios, todo salió excelente el tiempo que presté servicio allí y me gané el cariño de muchas personas que atendí con todo el amor del mundo, como quisiese que me atendieran a mí sí estuviese en los zapatos de ese paciente❤️.
My first internship rotation was the pediatric one, I did it at the Integral Rehabilitation Room of the Cristóbal Colón Village in the city of Cumaná, the center that I will consider my first home for the rest of my life💙. I must admit that I was extremely nervous since it would be my first time attending patients with a myriad of pathologies and I would have to put into practice everything I had learned so far. Luckily and thank God, everything went excellent during the time I served there and I won the affection of many people that I attended with all the love in the world, as I would want to be attended if I were in the shoes of that paciente❤️.
Los universitarios en el área de la Fisioterapia, al culminar las pasantías debemos presentar una exposición en la que tenemos que hablar sobre el caso del paciente que elegimos. En esta ocasión, debido a que fueron pediátricas, elegí a una bebé de 1 año con Síndrome de Down. Primera vez trabajando con una bebé con condición y sinceramente, corrí con la suerte de que su desarrollo psicomotor estaba mucho más que avanzado y ya había cumplido con todas las metas del plan de tratamiento que le había ordenado el fisiatra. Una niña que se ganó todo mi amor y cariño desde el primer día que trabajé con ella, ganándome toda su confianza y la de su mamá, que creyó en mi y me entregó a su hija para poder rehabilitarla, meta que se cumplió con muchísimo exito. Hoy en día es una niña grande, sana e inteligente que cada día crece y aprende mucho más a pesar de su condición. Ella fue mi primera paciente bebé, una razón más por la que mi amor por la carrera se intensificó mucho más, sonreír y divertirme junto a ella durante todas sus terapias eran una curita para el corazón porque sabía que estaba contribuyendo a mejorar su bienestar💗. Por razones de privacidad no puedo mostrar la cara de mis pacientes, pero igualmente por acá les dejo algunas fotos.
As undergraduates in the area of Physical Therapy, at the end of the internship we must present a presentation in which we have to talk about the case of the patient we chose. On this occasion, because they were pediatric, I chose a 1 year old baby with Down Syndrome. First time working with a baby with the condition and honestly, I was fortunate that her psychomotor development was well beyond advanced and she had already met all the goals of the treatment plan that the physiatrist had ordered for her. A girl who earned all my love and affection from the first day I worked with her, gaining all her trust and that of her mother, who believed in me and gave me her daughter to rehabilitate her, a goal that was met with great success. Today she is a big, healthy and intelligent girl who grows and learns much more every day in spite of her condition. She was my first baby patient, one more reason why my love for the career intensified much more, smiling and having fun with her during all her therapies was a band-aid for my heart because I knew I was contributing to improve her wellbeing💗. For privacy reasons I can't show the faces of my patients, but here are some pictures.
A la bebé la atendí hasta mis últimos días en esa sala. Tiempo después, a los meses, me tocó comenzar mi segunda rotación de pasantías, esta vez fueron neurológicas. En esta ocasión, me tardé un poco tratando de encontrar a mi paciente ideal, pero llegó justo a tiempo para empezar con su proceso completo de rehabilitación en el que yo lo ayudaría hasta sus últimos días en terapia. Ahora, me había tocado un señor de 56 años con Parkinson, está patología es consecuencia de un trastorno neurodegenerativo que afecta al sistema nervioso. Una patología muy diferente y más compleja a la que me había tocado anteriormente. De igual manera, me puse a investigar mucho para poder llevar a cabo la rehabilitación exitosa de ese paciente, meta que también se logró satisfactoriamente. Mi paciente evolucionó mucho en cuestión de semanas y su progreso era cada vez mejor. Me sentía muy orgullosa porque todo el trabajo que estaba realizando, ya estaba dando frutos. La confianza y seguridad que demostraba mi paciente era increíble, todos los días me agradecía y me llevaba detalles por todo el cariño y dedicación que le estaba brindando para mejorar su calidad de vida. Detalles que me llenaban el corazón de mucho amor por mi carrera❤️.
I took care of the baby until my last days in that ward. A few months later, I had to start my second internship rotation, this time it was neurological. This time, it took me a while to find my ideal patient, but he arrived just in time to start his complete rehabilitation process in which I would help him until his last days in therapy. Now, I had a 56 year old man with Parkinson's, this pathology is a consequence of a neurodegenerative disorder that affects the nervous system. A very different and more complex pathology than the one I had had before. Likewise, I did a lot of research in order to carry out the successful rehabilitation of this patient, a goal that was also successfully achieved. My patient evolved a lot in a matter of weeks and his progress was getting better and better. I felt very proud because all the work I was doing was already paying off. The confidence and security that my patient showed was incredible, every day he thanked me and gave me details for all the love and dedication I was giving him to improve his quality of life. Details that filled my heart with so much love for my career❤️.
A parte de mis pacientes asignados, también atendí a otras personas que me demostraban con detalles pequeños todos los días que la atención que yo les brindaba era muy especial. Siempre que llegaban a la sala me buscaban para poder atenderlos. Terminaba bastante agotada por un largo día de trabajo, pero contenta porque mis pacientes se iban contentos de sus terapias🥰. Por acá también les dejaré unas fotitos de los pequeños regalos que me daban. Para mí, esa era una viva representación de que hacía un trabajo excelente que valía toda la pena💗.
In addition to my assigned patients, I also saw other people who showed me in small ways every day that the care I gave them was very special. Whenever they came to the room, they always looked for me to attend to them. I would end up quite exhausted from a long day of work, but happy because my patients left happy from their therapies🥰. Here I will also leave you some pictures of the little gifts they gave me. For me, that was a living representation that I was doing an excellent job that was worth all the trouble💗.
Aún me falta un tiempo en este trayecto y otra rotación de pasantías. Poco a poco les iré mostrando todo el proceso hasta mi soñada licenciatura🥺. En todas mis visitas a estas salas de rehabilitación, he conocido a muchas personas profesionales que me tienen mucho cariño y he contado para todo con ellos, profesionales que me han ayudado académicamente y con los que estaré agradecida de por vida. Se siente muy bonito conocer y rodearse de buenas personas que te tengan aprecio, confianza y crean en ti como un profesional. Personas que les consta que llegamos a su vida para aportar un bien y asegurarles una mejor visión de vida. Gracias a esta profesión, más que conocer a muchos colegas, me he ganado una familia💙.
I still have some time left in this journey and another internship rotation. Little by little I will show you the whole process until my dreamed degree🥺. In all my visits to these rehabilitation rooms, I have met many professional people who are very fond of me and I have counted on them for everything, professionals who have helped me academically and with whom I will be grateful for life. It feels very nice to meet and surround yourself with good people who appreciate you, trust you and believe in you as a professional. People who know that we have come into their lives to bring good and ensure them a better vision of life. Thanks to this profession, more than meeting many colleagues, I have gained a family💙.
