Hello good friends of hive. Today I come to show you my experience when I traveled to Ecuador.
Hace no más de 2 años más o menos, tuve la oportunidad de salir de Venezuela, buscar un mejor futuro para mí y poder ayudar a mi familia.
Gracias a Dios tengo amistades que un jueves a las 6:00pm me llamaron y me contaron que me habían conseguido un pasaje directo a Ecuador/Guayaquil, no tuve mucho tiempo que pensar, llame a mi familia y me dieron el apoyo suficiente para yo tener el valor de salir de mi país e irme a una travesía que no sabía cómo me iba a ir, conocer un país nuevo, gente nueva, su cultura, comida entre muchas cosas.
No more than 2 years ago, I had the opportunity to leave Venezuela, to look for a better future for me and to be able to help my family.
Thank God I have friends that one Thursday at 6:00pm called me and told me that they had gotten me a direct ticket to Ecuador/Guayaquil, I did not have much time to think, I called my family and they gave me enough support for me to have the courage to leave my country and go on a journey that I did not know how I was going to go, meet a new country, new people, culture, food and many things.
Al día siguiente tuve que hacer muchas cosas, no tuve tiempo ni de despedirme de algunos familiares. (Lamentablemente durante mi estadía en Guayaquil, mi abuela materna murió, persona a la cual no me despedí al irme)
The next day I had a lot of things to do, I didn't even have time to say goodbye to some relatives (unfortunately during my stay in Guayaquil, my maternal grandmother died, a person I didn't say goodbye to when I left).
Ya había llegado el momento de montarme en el autobús, cabe resaltar que tuve mucha suerte, ayuda de Dios porque me salí de Venezuela sin pasaporte, ni cédula de identidad.
It was time to get on the bus. I was very lucky, with God's help, because I left Venezuela without a passport or identity card.
En el viaje estando en Venezuela me bajaron una vez y tuve mucho valor de afrontar la situación con militares.
During the trip while in Venezuela, I got off once and I had a lot of courage to confront the situation with the military.
Estaba asustada pero salí de eso, tuve que dar una colaboración porque no me querían dejarme seguir mi camino.
I was scared but I got out of it, I had to give a collaboration because they did not want to let me go on my way.
Luego al llegar al puente internacional Simón bolivar (puente entre Venezuela y Colombia) pase por migración pero tuve otra vez suerte de que no haya pasado algo malo y me devuelvan, pues ese era mi miedo.
Then when I arrived at the Simon Bolivar International Bridge (bridge between Venezuela and Colombia) I went through immigration but I was lucky again that something bad had not happened and they sent me back, because that was my fear.
Al llegar ya a Cúcuta tuve otro problema, tuve que pagar $20 para que me dejen montar en el autobús, para dárselo al chófer y que el en el transcurso de ese camino el se haga responsable de mi por si nos paraba una alcabala.
When I arrived in Cúcuta I had another problem, I had to pay $20 to be allowed to get on the bus, to give it to the driver so that he would be responsible for me in case we were stopped by an alcabala.
Lamentablemente al salir del lugar donde estábamos nos detuvo una alcabala y me bajaron, gracias a Dios no paso a mayores y me dejaron seguir.
Unfortunately, when we left the place where we were, we were stopped by an alcabala and they took me down, but thank God it didn't happen and they let me continue.
Todo ese viaje fue una travesía, no dormía, estaba muy pendiente del camino, llegue muy cansada a Rumichaca ( Puente internacional Rumichaca, frontera Colombia con Ecuador)
The whole trip was a journey, I didn't sleep, I was very aware of the road, I arrived very tired in Rumichaca (Rumichaca International Bridge, Colombia-Ecuador border).
Para mí, llegar ya a Tulcán/Ecuador era una gloria, ya me sentía un poco menos preocupada, ya estaba más cerca de llegar a mi destino, más feliz, llegar con mis amigos y buscar una mejor vida para mí.
For me, arriving in Tulcán/Ecuador was a glory, I already felt a little less worried, I was closer to reach my destination, happier, to arrive with my friends and look for a better life for myself.
le doy gracias a Dios porque estando allá me fue muy bien, tuve trabajo seguido, conocí muy buenas personas, su gastronomía es demasiado rica, el paisaje y todo Guayaquil es hermoso.
I thank God because being there I did very well, I had a lot of work, I met very good people, its cuisine is too rich, the landscape and all Guayaquil is beautiful.
