Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Whiskey is a highly sought-after bourbon produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. The distillery has a rich history dating back to 1787, making it one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the United States. It has been owned by various families throughout its history, and has been known by several different names, including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Sazerac Company.

It took me a while, but I finally got my hands on bottle during my last trip down south. The whiskey is made from a mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley, and is aged for a minimum of 8 years in new, charred oak barrels. The resulting whiskey has a rich, complex flavor profile with notes of vanilla, caramel, and spice. The finish is smooth and long-lasting.

One of the reasons for the whiskey's popularity is its high demand and limited supply. The distillery only produces a small amount of the whiskey each year, and it is often sold out quickly or allocated to specific markets. This has led to the whiskey being highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts, and it can be difficult to find in stores.

Overall, Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Whiskey is a highly-regarded bourbon with a rich history and a complex, delicious flavor profile. Its scarcity only adds to its allure, making it a true collector's item. I’m hoping that it becomes easier to find because it’s a great daily drinker.
