City life definitely has its perks, and I’ve come to appreciate them a lot; the convenience of having everything within reach, the way amenities make life easier, more fun, and just a whole lot more efficient. These are the things the city offers that make it so hard to imagine living anywhere else. Being surrounded by shopping malls and commercial spaces adds this kind of buzz that’s thrilling, depending on your vibe. For now, it’s a lifestyle I’m sticking with, probably for the next few decades.
Honestly, I’m not someone who gets bored easily, especially here in the city. I can wander around and always find something exciting to lift my spirits. It doesn’t need to be fancy, either... sometimes, it’s the simplest things about my city that get me excited. I’m fascinated by how fast things develop around here. There’s always something new to revisit, because things change so quickly. Sometimes, I just miss a place and swing by to see if it still has the same feel as before.
Whenever I visit a specific spot, I’m always on the lookout for something new; a new attraction or feature that adds life to the place. Maybe it’s a fresh shop that’s making waves or a renovation that’s given something old a new lease on life.
So, as soon as I stepped off the Promenade MRT station, I was greeted by this super cool raindrop sculpture made of stainless steel. Each piece looks like a coin, all perfectly assembled side by side, forming a giant raindrop. It’s seriously impressive and totally eye-catching.
From there, I made my way to the exit of Millenia Walk, where I was met by a skyscraper with a super unique facade design... wavy pieces of metal that create this floating illusion since the connections are hidden behind them.
After passing by, I stumbled upon an open space that I couldn’t remember seeing before.
I guess they added it to make the area more inviting—a spot where office workers can chill and breathe in some fresh air. It’s really nice, and the vibe here is on point. They even set up these huge modern sculptures that look like splashes, adding some extra flair to the place.
From where I stood, I could see the Singapore Flyer peeking out... a giant Ferris Wheel that anyone can ride.
I’ve only been on it once, but it was awesome. You can see the whole of Singapore when it reaches the top.
Finally, I reached the manmade falls! It’s this glass structure supported by metal frames, and I think it’s a standout feature of the space because I’ve never seen anything like it before. It’s a cool way to keep the area chilled out, and it looks really nice, too. People were snapping photos with it as their backdrop.
I also went inside the Millenia Walk shopping mall to cool down a bit. Walking outside under the warm weather was fun but not for too long 😜.
A Cyber truck by Tesla is currently on display inside the mall. We may see this on the road soon 😂.
And that’s it for now! Hope you enjoyed this quick little stroll around the Millenia Walk area with me!
