Hello plant based foodies, wherever you are in the world!

Here @sirenahippie

Today Wednesday August 2, 2023, we have returned with another special activity of the Plant Power (Vegan) Community, the second edition of the Vegan Love for the Planet contest; and it is that today is celebrated Earth Overcapacity Day, that is, the date on which human beings have consumed 100% of the resources generated by the planet for the entire year 2023; and nothing better to avoid this overcapacity of our beloved planet, of our beautiful home, than to apply consumption reduction habits.

As we mentioned in the previous contest, being a vegan transcends diet. Being vegan implies being conscious, respectful and kind to all our surroundings, it is a philosophy of life that implies affecting the environment to a minimum, so the practice of reuse, reduction and recycling habits is a behavior inherent to veganism.

For these reasons, in the Plant Power (Vegan) community we will be convening community activities and contests with some frequency, related to the various ways of expressing vegan love for the planet, which go beyond gastronomy. It is important to indicate that these contests will be punctual, since we are not modifying the niche of our community that is fundamentally gastronomic.

At this point we want to give our most sincere thanks to our sponsors:

  • To the @solarisfuture Project, which with its support has motivated us to carry out this contest, and will be sponsoring it with votes for some of the participating entries. We invite you to learn more about this project, visiting its blog and also its presentation post
  • To the witness @sagarkothari88, who has supported us extensively in the Plant Power (Vegan) community, demonstrating his interest in the Hive ecosystem growing and becoming stronger. We invite you to visit his blog to learn about his wonderful work, and also give him your support as a witness.

Thank you very much!

Vegan love for the Planet: Reduce (Contest)

For this challenge, we want to know the reduce habits that you have. It doesn't matter if you do them in your kitchen, anywhere in your house, at work, or in any other space where you work; we only want to know THREE (3) FORMS OF REDUCE that are common for you. That is why we want you to make a post in which you tell us from your personal experience, how you do it. We do NOT want you to give us definitions, because that is not the intention, we simply want to know the following:

  • What are your reduce habits.

  • What motivated you to adopt these habits.

  • Since when do you practice them.

  • What advantages do you get with these habits.
