☘️Sri Lankan tempered simple and delicious okra recipe☘️

Hi @plantpower community friends , welcome to my new post .Today I brought you how to prepare a quick and easy okra recipe .

Okra is a very tasty and nutritious vegetable. Okra can be eaten in various ways. And because of its nutritional quality, okra is in high demand in the market. Okra can be introduced as a popular crop among vegetable farmers in Sri Lanka because it can be cultivated well in any season.

We should use young okra pods in cooking. Because you cannot get much flavor by cooking fermented okra pods. Also, young okra pods contain good nutritional value.

Okra contains fiber, protein, vitamins, iodine, calcium nutrients, and especially this okra can be introduced as a very good vegetable for iodine deficient patients. Okra also has the ability to control cholesterol levels.
I recently saw in an article in a newspaper that okra is a very beneficial vegetable for joint diseases.
Due to the slimy nature of okra, some people are reluctant to eat it.

Before cutting the okra into pieces, wash it well and cut it into pieces. It can avoid the slimy nature of okra.


Now let's see how to cook okra quickly and deliciously

Ingredients required

Curry leaves01 pinch
Chili flakes02tsp
Chili powder01 tsp
unroasted curry powder01tsp
Fenugreek01 tsp
Turmeric powder1/2 tsp
Salt powder02 tsp
Mustard01 tsp
Coconut oil03 tbsp

Method

1. step

First, wash the okra and keep it for a while until the water dries up. Then cut the pieces like this. I cut this okra into like this type. The reason for that is that by cutting in this way, if there are worms in the okra, it can be removed.

2. step

Now add green chillies, onions, curry leaves and pandan leaves

3. step

After that, add turmeric powder, chili powder ,chili flakes , unroasted curry powder ,fenugreek , salt powder and mix well. Add salt according to taste.

4.step

Okra is ready to cook. Now keep a pan on low heat. When it gets hot, add 3 tablespoons of coconut oil.

5. step

After the coconut oil is heated, add 1 teaspoon of mustard.

6. step

Now add the okra prepared for cooking in the pan, close the lid and cook for about 10 minutes.

7. step

After about 10 minutes, add chopped tomatoes and mix.

Mmmm, now the delicious temperd okra is ready. Cook okra in less time. By doing this, you can preserve the green color of the okra.

Cook it like this and serve it to your family. They will love it. This recipe is suitable for any meal, morning, noon or night. Can be eaten with rice or bread.
