Goan food simply vegan Sprouted moongbeans Calvan Sarum , rice, and papadum

Hello, friends, and community greetings. Today is Monday and sometimes I remember my native food. Here are sprouted moong beans which are simple easy and 100% vegan and delicious.

Ingredients:
1 cup sprouted moong beans
1 medium size tomato
1/2 onion
1/2 cup dried shredded coconut
2 garlic cloves
2 cm ginger
4-5 sprigs of coriander
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cooking oil

I mixed moong chopped tomato and water in the saucepan and put on heat for cooking.

Meanwhile sliced onion, ginger garlic, and coriander.

In a skillet, I poured 1 tsp oil.
when the oil got warm I added the onion slices.
After sauteing the onion for 1 minute I added shredded dry coconut
As soon as the coconut started turning a golden color I added ginger and garlic and sauteed it for 1 more minute.

then handful coriander and sauteed for 1 more minute and removed from heat. kept it aside to cool down.

I blended the cooled mixture into a fine paste.

The moong is nicely cooked.

I added the paste of onion and coconut to the moong.

Additionally, I poured 2 tbsp water into the mixer jar rinsed the remains, and added it to the moong. After the recipe is finished, this extra water will be used as a Sarum the spicy moong water drink like a soup.

Boiled all this together for 2 minutes.added salt. the calvan is ready.

Poured 1 tsp oil into another small pan.

After the oil got hot added chili powder.

I poured 2 ladles of cooked moongs into the hot chili oil to avoid burning or chili smoke.

Poured the chili oil into the moong.
Stirred it well and my moongs Calvan was ready

Drained some surface liquid using the ladle (the Sarum spicy moong water) and served it separately beside the moong beans, rice, papadum, and lime pickle.
