Walking on the road on a warm afternoon, the sun flames above, making the tar twinkle. Sweat trickles down my back as I push forward, the heat pressing against my skin. The air is thick and still, offering no relief. Each step I took feels heavier, my shadow shrinking beneath me. In the distance, a lone tree stands, its shade a tempting refuge. The world seems to slow, covered in the radiant mist of the relentless afternoon sun.
